SKYTRAX have confirmed that Asiana Airlines has been Certified as a world 5-Star Airline for the 2010 ranking period.

Asiana Airlines received another confirmation of its continued commitment to service Quality excellence when the 5-Star ranking for the year 2010 was awarded by Skytrax at a ceremony in Seoul, South Korea on 25th February 2010.

Asiana Airlines was first conferred the “5-Star Airline Status” in 2005. This highly recognized and prestigious award honors airline Product and Service Quality Excellence, and has been instituted by Skytrax, the world's leading, independent airline research and air travel information organization.

Commenting on the decision to renew the 5-Star ranking bestowed on Asiana Airlines, Mr Edward Plaisted, CEO Skytrax, stated “The greatest attribute behind 5-Star status is an airline's ability to deliver the combination of Product and Service. This Ranking is assessed by Skytrax after detailed Product and Service standards analysis for each featured airline, and is not connected in any way to customer ratings gathered online on travel forums. A 5-Star ranking recognizes the highest standard of Product across the different quality assessment categories, and consistently high standards of Staff Service delivery in Onboard and Airport environments.
