SKYTRAX LAUNCH THE LATEST WORLD AIRLINE PASSENGER SURVEY

LONDON - 27th July 2009  :  SKYTRAX has today launched the 2009/2010 online edition of the ever popular World Airline Survey™, with more than 18 different categories of passenger survey featured online at the Survey website.

"The Skytrax survey is highly regarded in the industry for its operational transparency and complete independence, and reflects the opinion of seasoned passengers around the world" said Edward Plaisted of Skytrax.

"This year we have added new survey topics, and the entire project is designed to offer the most complete coverage of the total travel experience for today's air travellers" added Plaisted. "The World Airline Survey has now been operating for more than 10 years, and whilst some outside attempts have been made to copy our format, even imitate it, we pride ourselves on the clear fact that it has never been equalled. Controlling the authenticity of traveller survey interviews is a critical aspect of our survey security, and this year we shall be as vigilant as ever to ensure that rigged voting does not occur. In last year's survey we disqualified one airline, which had openly asked and encouraged it's own staff to enter favourable votes - they were clearly unaware of our Pollbreaker software that charts and monitors every single one of the completed survey forms we receive."

The 2008/9 World Airline Survey closed at the end of March 2009, and achieved a total of 16,241,085 eligible, completed passenger interviews - drawn from across the globe, with over 97 different nationalities being represented.
