World Airline Awards to be held at Farnborough International Airshow

Farnborough International Airshow

SKYTRAX announce that the 2012 World Airline Awards will be staged at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) on Thursday 12th July 2012.

Attracting over 120,000 trade visitors from around the world, Farnborough International Airshow is a platform for some 1,400 exhibitors from the aerospace, defence, space and security sectors to showcase and demonstrate aircraft, equipment and technologies.

Commenting on the choice of Farnborough International Airshow to stage the 2012 World Airline Awards, Edward Plaisted of SKYTRAX said: "Last year, Paris Air Show hosted the awards, which were enjoyed by airline guests from around the world. As the world's leading biennial air shows, we feel this co-operation with Farnborough International Airshow is a natural step to delivering the finest airline awards at the most prestigious venues. To maintain the prestigious nature of the World Airline Awards, we focus on delivering an awards ceremony that is independent of any sponsorship, and we are grateful that Farnborough International Limited can offer this opportunity."

"We look forward to welcoming the Award-winning airlines of 2012 to this event at Farnborough International Airshow, and hope they will also be able to enjoy something of the build-up to the London Olympics which start just 15 days later. The World Airline Awards are known across the globe as the highest quality approval that an airline can receive, and this reputation is built upon our passionate focus on delivering a transparent and honest awards programme, which is not only independent but does not seek to profit in any way from the awards", added Plaisted.

About the Awards

The World Airline Awards are regarded as the primary benchmarking tool for Passenger Satisfaction levels of airlines throughout the world - delivering a unique survey format based on analysis of business and leisure travellers, across all cabin travel types (First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy class passengers).

The study analyses customer satisfaction for the Airline Passenger Experience, across the Airport and Onboard environments - check-in to boarding, onboard seat comfort, cabin cleanliness, food, beverages, IFE and staff service.

SKYTRAX guarantee total transparency across the World Airline Survey process, and the sole directive is for real customers to make their own, honest choices as to the airlines they consider to be best, and worthy of an award.

Airlines do not subscribe to be included in the customer survey, there is no membership criteria, and no charge for winners to attend the World Airline Awards ceremony. To reinforce this credibility, complete independence and clarity of survey and awards process, SKYTRAX do not accept any third party sponsorship.
