Air Jamaica is set to cut its First Class product, and re-brand it as Executive Business
Class on all its routes, with effect from October 29th 2006.
The change is aimed at giving Air Jamaica the competitive edge as they anticipate increased sales with the more attractive fares in the
Executive Business Class.
The Executive Business Class will have the same perks as the current
First Class product, including Air Jamaica's signature champagne
service. Additionally, passengers in the Executive Business Class will
continue to have their luggage delivered first wherever possible,
customs allowing.
Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Paul Pennicook says the
decision was influenced by the improved sales in Executive Business
Class on the London route since the change in June and the need for
brand consistency throughout the system.
