SINGAPORE AIRLINES RECEIVES 5-STAR AIRLINE CERTIFICATION FOR 2009





Singapore Airlines receives the official 5-Star Airline certification for 2009


Skytrax today announced that Singapore Airlines has been certified as an official 5-Star Airline for 2009, following the recent product and service Quality analysis of the airline.

The 5-Star Airline ranking is the most prestige mark of quality approval for an airline's front-line product and service standards, and Singapore Airlines has been a member of this exclusive group of airlines since 2000.

Commenting on the 5-Star Airline certification for Singapore Airlines, Skytrax CEO, Mr Edward Plaisted said: "The greatest attribute in achieving this 5-Star Airline status is the airline ability to deliver a true combination of high quality Product and Service on a consistent basis. This top-end quality approval sets a standard for Singapore Airlines, in as much that customers around the world are nowadays greatly influenced by the Skytrax Star Ranking when choosing an airline for their next trip."

The 5-Star Airline ranking is the culmination of a substantial programme analysing the front-line product and service that an airline provides across both their home base airport and onboard environments. Skytrax evaluate quality for more than 750 different facets within the typical air travel experience, with the final ranking being greatly influenced by the consistency of delivery.
