"a lounge to look forward to"

(United Kingdom)

The Al Mourjan lounge is located on the third floor of the airport, up quite a large set of escalators. Staff scan your boarding pass at the bottom of the escalator to ensure that you’re eligible to enter. After heading upstairs you’re presented with a stunning water feature. Water shoots up in various patterns, creating quite a calm and pleasing atmosphere. Located above is the larger of two dining and bar areas. A large chandelier (which stretches all the way to the ceiling of the second floor) is the centrepiece of this end of the lounge. Surrounded by seating areas, this staircase will take you up to the main dining area. Suffice to say it’s very impressive. The lower level of the lounge is huge. Outside the raised floor area in the middle are individual and paired seating areas, which are comfortable and very well equipped. Every seat has power and USB ports, along with a fixed tablet where you can access flight information and do some basic web browsing. On a raised area in the middle of the floor are some more seating areas and a small self service bar with tea, coffee, water and a small selection of soft drinks. Here you can clearly see the second floor dining area of the lounge. It’s quite striking from this vantage point and even more so when sitting up there yourself. Standing in the middle like this really gives you an appreciation for how large the space is. The lounge offers both buffet and à la carte dining options. The hot dishes tended to be mainly middle eastern inspired and every dish we had was excellent. These naturally change to suit the time of day. Curtains were always drawn at the far end of the dining area. I assume this is because the view out this window would be less than stellar, or possibly to limit the amount of sunlight coming into the lounge. Qatar Airways have really stepped up their game with the opening of this new lounge. Their previous offering, a Premium Terminal was only available to passengers flying with Qatar and was much smaller. The travel from the plane in a bus and car transfer back out to the plane was also cumbersome. The attention to detail in the lounge is apparent. This new Al Mourjan lounge is accessible to more people, which means it is a lot busier. Definitely a lounge to look forward to visiting on your next trip though Doha’s Hamad International Airport.

"awesome, full of flavour and taste"

(India)

Flew business class from Bangalore to Orlando, had the opportunity to visit the well known Al Mourjan lounge at Doha Hamad airport. Very crowded in the morning, managed to a get a table in the buffet area upstairs, breakfast itself was okay, ordered a Spanish omelette which was good. The Sandwich from the Deli counter was ordinary. On my return though, the lounge was pretty thin, the buffet spread was good. The Arabic fusion was awesome, full of flavour and taste, being a foodie and cooking a hobby, managed to taste a few other delicacies like Prawn biryani (wrongly mentioned as Chicken Biryani!) and the dessert spreads were just outstanding. Would like to visit this lounge in future with a bit more time to relax here.

"lounge for non-QR / oneworld"

(United Kingdom)

Qatar Airways has a separate lounge for non-QR / oneworld premium members. The lounge is not really impressive and was crowded when I used it and some tables were messy from the previous guests. The choice of food was limited and poor. Kudos to the staff at the restroom and shower facilities who were courteous and always available to help the customers.

"good food and great bathroom"

(Netherlands)

Nice spacious 2 levels lounge with good food and great bathroom services. Fresh salad buffet on the ground floor and a la carte/buffet on the first floor. The bathrooms are very clean and spacious. This lounge is even better than Turkish Airlines business class lounge

"great ambience decor and mood"

(Qatar)

Its really nice, great ambience decor and mood. Lovely bathrooms and you can tell everything was made with thought. Food not so much. The chicken we ordered slightly hard and tasteless, didn't finish it and had cheese instead. It didnt seem to concern any of the staff there who were sparsely located unless you were beside the bar. Overall love everything about this place except the dining.

First Class - Hamad Doha Airport

(United Arab Emirates)

In short this lounge is the best of the best. New vibrant, yet an oasis of calm with the finest wine list and superb service. The food options are various and would meet all palates. Qatar Airways have once again pulled a 5 star review from me. In my view the best carrier on the market.

"bright and nice décor"

(United Kingdom)

Qatar Airways Lounge at Heathrow Airport has a big space, bright and nice décor. A la carte menu for main meals. Good selections of fruits, desserts and delis. I've ordered their version of Tum Yum soup which tasted a bit odd. Nice toilets with good amenities. Attentive staff. Very near boarding gates.

"does not get better than this"

(Germany)

One of the most spectacular lounges I have ever visited. Enormous in size, sophisticated design, endless food options, extremely friendly staff, personal service, buffet and/or restaurant style a-la-carte restaurants, gerat selection of drinks and wines, and very good wifi. It does not get any better than this! This is a lounge that makes connecting long haul flights a pleasure.

"like a 5 Star restaurant"

(Australia)

The Qatar Airways Al Safwa lounge has been opened for two weeks. The lounge is vast and there are many areas where you can find peace and quiet. My husband and I both took showers. My experience in the shower rooms was good. A shower was available immediately and the shower room was roomy and had every amenity I needed. A shower room was not available for my husband immediately so he was escorted to a rest room which had two beds and a bathroom. We then had breakfast and it was the best lounge breakfast I have ever had. Table service that felt like you were in a 5 Star restaurant. This long awaited lounge lives up to all expectations. The service by the staff the relaxing music and the amazing water features. Once again Qatar Airways is leading the other airlines.

Qatar Airways Business Class Lounge at Hamad International Airport is absolutely heaven and paradise on earth. Every single staff member was welcoming and extremely pleasant and highly professional. Without compare in a league of it's own. Food and drinks out of scale in a good way!
