❎ Not Verified | All looks nice. The only awful thing in my opinion is that there is no smoking room. So if you're in transit and you have not enough time to go out and in again cause you have to go again through security, then you can't smoke. They still sell cigarettes though. It's not nice to not take in account smokers and reserve even a very small area for them.

✅ Trip Verified | I arrived at YYZ from Newark, March 2018 after a a long delay in my flight due to an Air Canada computer glitch. After arriving at YYZ I was told to wait in customer service as I missed my connecting flight to Vancouver. It took 3 hrs of waiting in line to finally get to customer service and this point they gave us a brochure and told us to call a number in order to get a hotel room and rebook our flight. Unfortunately customer service was not much help and only had two employees helping. They redirected us to call a number for rebooking our flight and hotel as they were closing customer service at 12am and had 4 police officers on standby incase travellers become agitated. Low and behold there was no hotels available and 2 hour phone wait to rebook a flight. At this point we were unsure of what to do as non of us had our flights booked and were not giving proper directions. A gentleman was working at gate D20 assisting travellers going to Montreal, I approched him and explanined my situation to him, he told me he would return shortly after he was done checking in another flight. He came back within 20min and assisted around 10 people who missed their connecting flight with rebooking it for the following day. He went above and beyond his duties to assist us with ensuring we had our flights booked eventhough he was not part of customer service and he was done with his shift for the day. After having a hectic day at the airport his random act of kindness was much appreciated and should be recognized.

"worst airport for a connecting flight"

This is the worst airport for a connecting flight! We had to go through customs and security, we had absolutely no help or direction at either of them. The staff were very rude! There needs to be more time, to get on the connecting flights. We were running for our connection, and missed it! They did not wait for us, They left 15 of us waiting. Finally got a connection at 10.45 that night, it was an 18 hour frustrating, exhausting and ridiculous day.

✅ Trip Verified | Ridiculous wait time for getting a checked bag from the carousel, over an hour after our flight landed. If at all possible avoid using the Toronto Pearson airport. They charge to use it and provide poor service for a simple task of timely bagage claim.

"Really bad for an international airport"

✅ Trip Verified | Horrible customer service. One of my worst experiences. The staff are really rude, some people on inmigration are really disrespectful with the customers. One of their staff members made some silly faces after a question I had. A man of the staff of the currency change was the worst part of everything. He didn't want to change part of my money with the price on the screen. He just "offered us" a price. Really bad for an international airport. Also, there aren't enough bathrooms. I was searching an empty bathroom for 30 minutes at least. The seats are uncomfortable, there is no option to sleep comfortable in a long laydown.

"baggage is always frustratingly slow"

✅ Trip Verified | The baggage is always frustratingly slow here. Probably the slowest of any airport I regularly travel to. Makes you just take a bag onto the plane. Airport is nice and clean but the baggage times are a real issue here. Do they do this on purpose so customs can scan them?

"The luggage came out so slowly"

The luggage came out so slowly. We were in business class and the luggage had priority tags. However, our luggage were the last to come out. We had to wait there for one hour and 20 minutes to pick up the luggage and ended up missing our connection flight to Vancouver. We had to wait for another 2 hours for the next flight.

❎ Not Verified | Terminal 3 is under renovation but it has a complete lack of facilities, with the terminal having less washrooms than the plane, amazing that they believe only 3 stalls is adequate for the whole terminal! How many passengers pass through here in a day there should be legislation on facilities provided. Pearson is one of the worst passenger experiences I have encountered after twenty years of global travel, not a good impression for visitors to Canada.

"So poorly signposted"

✅ Trip Verified | Connecting through Toronto is harrowing from connections line up upon arrival. Waiting in that line after coming off flight took 30 mins, then get luggage chaos in main hall with people not knowing where they were to try and get onwards with the connection. Not signposted well enough then drop luggage to run upstairs to find the security line ups mobbed and only one security lane open, then the walk to the B1B gate was ridiculous. So poorly signposted, people were so frustrated and stressed.
