Not Verified | The worst experience ever at luggage pickup. Over 200 people have been waiting for their luggage for close to 2 hours at the belt #8. This was not the first time that I waited for my luggage for over an hour.

Not Verified | We arrived from st Maarten at 1:20 am. It’s 3 am and are still waiting for our suitcases. Shame on you Toronto Pearson. You can win the prize of the worse airport in the world.

Not Verified | This is the worst airport I have every experienced and I have travelled all over the world, if you don’t have to depart or make a connection don’t, worst ever and I am a Canadian. Pure chaos’s unorganized, 20 person line up to bathroom, no where to have a drink and eat everything full and if you complain no one cares. Will pay way more money so I don’t have to experience this again, you will have regrets.

✅ Trip Verified | We are expats with my husband and live in Costa Rica. We booked air Canada flights from SJO to Amsterdam with a layover at Toronto Pearson airport. On arrival the walkways were out of order and we had to walk the long distance to connections with very confusing direct oaks. A trolley caught up with us and gave us a ride. The airport is run down, dirty, no soap in sink dispensers, littered and not presentable for such a big hub. Not enough personnel obviously. The airport has gone down in quality and service.

Not Verified | On the evening of August 28 we had to wait an hour before baggage from our flight from California started arriving. When we finally picked up our luggage we called our son, who was waiting at the cell phone parking lot, to come meet us at the curb. When we came out of the airport to meet our son, we were greeted by a huge mess. Cars were double parked at the pick-up zone in such a manner that cars had to squeeze by in the far lane. Security personnel seemed to be untrained as to how to deal with the mess trey had allowed. The security did not once ask the parked cars to move from there during the 20 minutes it took for our son to finally inch up to our waiting point at Zone C/D. It was just as though we had stepped into a third world airport facility. What happened to the security who were on top of every car that tried to stop and wait for passengers? It was a total disgrace.

Not Verified | I am from Canada, but live in the states, it’s sad, but this airport is really rundown and antiquated, there are not enough toilets or urinals in the bathroom, and they’re very dirty. On average each bathroom has two toilets and two urinals. After exiting our aircraft from San Diego, there wasn’t a bathroom anywhere between the gate where we arrive until after clearing customs. The lounge chairs are rotten through to the cushions, it’s a disgrace.

✅ Trip Verified | Good airport but very far from the city, still accessible by transit during night time. I was able to get to the airport from Scarborough at around 4:30am which is very good. Food is expensive like any other airport. Didn't take too long to clear security as it was early in the morning

Not Verified | In the process of picking up a family member from the airport, I was greeted with airport security. Instead of interacting or being with me she pointed for me to move my car in the pick up area. I was trying to explain to her that the passenger was walking toward the car. Where she decided that writing $75 ticket was more important than listening to what I had to say. I thought the purpose of a pick up area was to pick people up, everything is a money grab.

✅ Trip Verified | Never have I had a worse experience with security. I was in the Global Entry customs line and every employee was rude to me and my fiance. Ignoring questions and belittling and talking down to passengers. My bag was pulled for extra screening - no issues that happens sometimes - but this agent proceeded to rip apart my entire backpack. Ripping out my knitting project off the needles and continuing to rifle through it after I told her where the scissors were in the bag. She didn't even offer an apology after - instead continued to fight with me and my fiance. I would avoid this airport at all costs if you can.

Not Verified | This airport really really sucks. I would not wish my worst enemy to traverse through this hellscape. Zero rhyme or reason to the lines, no signs, nothing makes sense, you are basically just pointed to four different directions by security and be hopeful you can make your flight in the four hours it takes to get through everything. The immigration officers are mean, and like I get that you don't want drugs or bombs coming into the country, but you do not have to be rude about it. They did secondary inspections in separate rooms for at least 30% of the hundreds in line. They would not let me pet the drug dog :( but she was so cute so I am going to give this review an extra point because of the dog. They switched our gate three times in a half hour, each time at the opposite side of the airport, within 15 minutes of boarding. A lot of people missed the flight because they did know which terminal to go to since it switched so many times. Not just our gate, we spoke to people at three different terminals and they had the same experience. Half of the flights were delayed(some by hours), all of which had no risk of storms because the weather was clear for most of the country. I think they just enjoy inflicting pain and suffering. The workers had cute outfits though so I will give them another point for that. Usually it would be 0/10, but due to the cute dog and good uniforms, I give it a 2/10.
