Public transport is by bus. Taxi queues are notorious here. Inside, efficient customer service and clean enough as far as I could see. Some parts are more modern than others it appears, and it feels cramped once through security but nothing to complain about with regard to the wait to get through security itself. Lots of eateries (food court, beer keller with the only view in the place, and cafes) and a few shops. It's a small airport with constant announcements about flights which get rather annoying for those of us who prefer a silent airport. The airport has virtually nowhere to charge your appliances except the lounge. And on that note .. Beware: check your lounge access before you travel. There is just one, an AENA lounge to which BA and some other airlines which ought to know better, do not offer access. The lounge itself is pretty grim in any case, and you aren't missing much: no windows, plastic food, reasonable wine and a charming lady valiantly holding back the hoards of irate BA customers. All in all? Not a great advert for a fantastic city which deserves much better.
