"staff in this airport is miserable"

Trip Verified | The worst experience I have had at this airport. On Thursday 2nd September I had a flight to London in the evening. I live in the south of England and for this flight I had a night in a hotel in London before taking the train the next day to Portsmouth. So I spent 3 days with my parents who live in Aurillac, they had to drop me off early at the airport that day by car to avoid going back in the night because they are old and it's still an hour and a half drive. I spent the afternoon there waiting to do my check in, of course with the restrictions in England, I had done my test 3 days before without really paying attention to the time and I had also scheduled an appointment in a clinic near my home for the test 2 days later. When I was boarding, the agent told me that my health pass had expired by 2 hours and that she couldn't let me board. I told her that I didn't know, that I had done it within 72 hours and moreover I had my 2 doses of vaccine, but she wouldn't listen. The solution that she proposes to me at 20h00 for a departure at 21h25, it is necessary to contact the police station so that it allows me to open a pharmacy of guard to make me the test in 15 min and then to return to embark. When I had no transport in the middle of nowhere, she had no shame in offering this solution. This kind of service is pathetic, I found myself alone trying to find a solution. I waited for a taxi for 1 hour outside as there was nothing around to get me to Rodez, then found a hotel room at my own expense. As there were no more flights to London until Sunday in Rodez, I had to find a pharmacy that could give me a hygienic PCR in 15 minutes, take another taxi to the train station to go to Toulouse. Another taxi to Bagnac airport and then an easy jet flight to London. In total I paid 200 euros out of my own pocket plus the hotel room I lost in London 100 euros. The staff in this airport is miserable, no help was offered, no solution, you find yourself alone in the middle of nothing.

"there was absolutely no waiting"

This little airport is very nice and adapted to the demand and number of passengers. There was only one cafe but with nice food and drinks. Because of the small numbers of passengers traveling through that airport, there was absolutely no waiting. I would defenitly go there again.

Rodez Airport customer review

No long queues no hustle and bustle easy parking adequate facilities. This is an airport where you can be sitting in your car ready to move off into the beautiful French countryside 20 minutes after landing! This is how air travel should be - civislised!

A small little provincial airport can be a touch uncomfortable in hot weather as the large glass windows absorb the sun as you wait in the departure area. One small cafe serving reasonable food and drink. Check in quick and car hire points convenient to main entrance. Good main road access to the town of Rodez and Tarn and Tarn et Garonne etc.
