✅ Verified Review | I am fortunate to be a world traveler and am in a position to make valid judgements about airports and their security measures. This review is solely regarding the security systems at Nice airport. We all know how vital it is to have effective security, however the rude and dismissive security officers who 'dealt' with us took it a step too far and hid behind the excuse that "we are only doing our job" as if they have no discretion as trained officers. We only had cabin luggage and within that we had put a dangerous weapon. Buried deep, it took the security officer nearly two minutes to remove it from my rucksack. She then declared that the wooden bread board she was holding in her hand was a dangerous weapon and would have to be checked in. Absolute disbelief followed, no one around us could believe what she had just said. Having now made the decision her pride would not let her change her mind. We made parallels with belts and shoe laces and walking sticks. Her colleague obviously backed her up, even saying that we could also hand over shoes laces, belts and anything else we liked, really quite rude. We had to return and check in our bag which we could not secure and very nearly missed our flight. So what did we learn - oh, yes bread boards are very dangerous. How utterly ridiculous. Security is a serious issue, do not make it a subject for ridicule.

"rudeness and bad service"

✅ Verified Review | I have been to over 15 airports so far this year and I am shocked about the rudeness and bad service from the staff at the Information Centers Nice Airport Terminals 1 and 2. You are supposed to come on vacation and they treat you in a very unfriendly way. In addition, they kept sending me to the other terminal when what I was looking for was in both terminals.

✅ Verified Review | This is one of the worst airports, lots of delays and unfriendly staff at security and check in, no information at all and most of time 30 minutes to 2 hour delays. Bus to the aircraft and you have to board by stairs. Also connection from city is very bad even though the airport is quite near.

✅ Verified Review | Good airport, sometimes the staff are not so friendly. Poor train connection from Italy, we always need the car. The parking is expensive, as is the food. Terminal 2 is better than Terminal 1, it is bigger and with more shops in it. You never queue at this airport, they're fast and efficient.

Signage appalling. One tiny flight display screen in T2 facing the wrong way. White stickers on glass does not exactly stand out for 'Departures' in Arrivals hall. Gate B25 stiflingly hot, no air conditioning. Asked why and got the French 'hands in the air response' of not my problem (computer says "NON!"). Went to toilet to put cold water on my face to cool down and no paper towels, had to use my t-shirt, now look like a tramp. Will avoid in future.

The airport is beautifully located by the sea, so you can enjoy the scenery at landing and takeoff. The staff are smiling and friendly. I was at terminal 1 and it is a rather small place, so you have to wait in queues for some time to drop you luggage. Happily, WiFi is available everywhere. All changes are updated immediately. However, the only problem I experienced was not in the airport bus, but with the connection to the airport. The airport buses are extremely overpriced and not very frequent. This is shameful when you see that you can walk to the airport from Promenade.

Arrived and departed out of terminal 1. Check-in desks were not far to walk and plenty of cafe's on landside and on airside. Not a huge variety of duty free but plenty of comfortable seating and daylight inside the terminal. Gates were in a fairly small space which made it hard to find a suitable place to sit down. Flight status was regularly up dated. Wifi was available throughout the terminal building and cleanliness was adequate.

Visited last month. I found the terminal quite a relaxed place to be comfortable to walk through almost deserted. However I found it difficult to understand where the luggage collection areas were. But the real problem came on my return a completely different and unpleasant experience. Very early flight forced me to rush and I make a mistake with the bus connection this was nothing compared to the overcrowded terminal.
