I have just recently done a day trip to Copenhagen travel from and to Luton airport when I saw the long queues for the security check I was amazed at the chaos there. I always worry about my iPad being taken out of the tray while I go through why a jumper cannot cover it up I will never know. Unfortunately I set off the alarm and was put to one side in a queue waiting to be checked when I moved slightly so I had my tray insight one of the officers wax very rude especially when I said I was worried about my iPad being taken she explained there was cctv all around but to be honest if I asked her which was my tray she probably wouldn't have know. This is the second time out of Luton in four six months and it was worse than before. What disappoints me is the cost of this security is placed on my ticket but not at my choice so I feel I should get a better service. All in all it took about twenty minutes to go through am I disgusted yes I am. Also later while waiting to fly I used some of the toilets there maybe they should look at spending some money there too they were far from what I'd call good. No matter how much you want the passenger to pass through on a trip abroad at least make it a better experience not a cattle herding.

An absolutely ghastly place. As others have noticed they charge you for anything they can think of. The "short term" car park is so far away heaven help you if it is raining. Security is a farce at the best of times at times of minor demand it is appalling. Queued for 30+ minutes to get back into the country through immigration. Never again.

Absolute shambles of an airport. Security was the worst I've ever seen just a mass of people in disorganised queues and no staff visible anywhere. I should be seen it coming when I noticed the extensive advertisements for priority security passes - they were pushing you to buy this far more than other airports I've been to and it's clear they are happy to leave the main security hall in chaos do that people will buy a priority pass next time. Although I sincerely hope there isn't a next time for me - I will use any other airport of given the choice.

Have used Luton for many years on a regular basis. £2.50 to pick up and drop off is a rip off. Seating facilities in departures have been sacrificed to allow more retail outlets hence difficulty finding somewhere to sit - particularly if only one plane is delayed. Last arrival on 18th March delayed 20 minutes on plane as nobody had unlocked door to get into terminal! Finally and not wishing to criticise security because its so essential but with two knee replacements which cause the scanner to go off I am body searched to a degree I have never experienced at any other airport. Just find it hugely irritating with rarely anything other than curt dismissal when complete.

I refused to pay £2.00 just to collect my partner from the airport it takes exactly 30 seconds to put her luggage in the car and drive off so I stopped outside on the roundabout and received a lovely fine of £80 in the post  £40 if you pay straight away! Something needs to be done about this how can they justify charging people £2.00 to drop off or collect passengers?

The car park situation is outrageous today due to incompetence from airport staff it has taken 2 hours to Drop my mother of at the airport and that was from the Holiday inn next to the airport. This should take 15 mins recommendations - do not close of the main road going out of the airport on a Saturday lunch time! Have people directing traffic on another note Luton feel the need to charge £2.50 to drop of people - what a rip of this is free in other airports I should invoice them my time lost - they would to me!

Another scam to drag more money from passengers. Security now refusing to let through your own plastic bags for liquids if they have any lines/writing on them as they obstruct what is in the bag. So what do you have to do? Buy their own ones at £2 for 2 small ones. Passengers being treated as cash cows for this abysmal airport.

Arriving at night I asked the bus driver to take me to the area of the long stay car park where I had left my car and told him the reference. Instead he dropped me off a long way from the correct area. As a result I had to drag four heavy bags around the ranks of cars in torrential rain and almost total darkness in a vain search for my car. Eventually I returned to the bus stop and telephoned for help and was eventually guided to the correct parking place which was a considerable distance away by which time my luggage and I were completely drenched. This is a disgrace.

I found the security checks very slow on the Friday morning I travelled with my family to Barcelona from Luton airport. The queues were far too slow and the whole of the waiting area was packed! If we stayed in the queue then we would have missed our flight. We had to ask the guard to let us skip the queues. Other people by us missed their flights. The airport should give a clear guidance on how busy this area can be or was at that time. I realize security is most important but this area seemed out of control to me we made our flight gate with only minutes to spare. Also we did not know that the boarding gate was a good 5 minutes walk away! Nobody on hand to ask for help just all panic.

Charging to drop people off is unacceptable. Sure charge for those that linger in the drop off area too long but Luton Airport how do you honestly justify charging £2 for pulling up outside the terminal and unloading your friends and their luggage in less than 5 minutes? No other airport I have ever used rips travellers off like this.
