"Customs at KLIA is very bad"

Unverified | Customs at KLIA is very bad! Waited for almost 1.5 hours. 1) Not many counters open and the immigration officers are quite lazy taking their own sweet time which ended up causing a long massive jam. 2) The queue barrier is too wide and resulting people were cutting queues and queuing anywhere they liked. 3) KLIA should deploy airport staff / customs staff around the customs area so that people who are lost or need help can seek help from the relevant staff.

"the worst that I have encountered"

Verified Review | These two airports in Asia must be the worst that I have encountered. Nothing good to say for them at all! They could learn a lot from other airports in the region, eg: Singapore, which of course is number 1. As stated previously, dirty toilets, below quality food at all of the restaurants and as for seating on a transit flight, hopeless.

"Not what I expect"

Verified Review | Awful foreign passport control. I’m queuing in foreign passport control now, been here an hour, another hour to go. No queuing system, no control, no one is here to manage the queue. This is a mess. People are pushing into the queue. Plus there are passport control people for crew, first class or Malaysian nationals who are just sitting there with no customers. Some officers/staff should be here to take foreigner passport holders in small groups to free controllers to utilise them fully. But they just sit and stare at us from their booths. Where is the management for this? Not what I expect at an international airport.

"no real improvement"

Verified Review | I’ve frequented KLIA many times, and it seems it’s getting worse every time. The immigration queue is way too long, even the new auto gate is taking so many staff to man. The toilets are still dirty and with so many under maintenance. Sign boards at most locations but no real improvement. The WFi is terrible, and too few chairs for passengers at the gate. Terrible airport.

"food dropped on the floor and chairs"

Verified Review | We spent several hours at KL airport on the way to Phuket and the way back. The only issue I had both ways with the airport was how disgustingly filthy the upstairs eating area was. There was no one cleaning and people left trays with rubbish and food dropped on the floor and chairs. There were lots and lots of rubbish everywhere you looked. It was really off putting.

Verified Review | User unfriendly airport especially for transit. Uncomfortable seats, no seating / place to stretch your legs incase lay over is long (and given that this is mostly for Air Asia flights which are mostly delayed, expect long lay overs). No customer service or help desks, limited food options and terrible layout with a lot of walking.

"ashamed of the service"

Unverified | Probably the worst airport I ever been to. I'm a Malaysian but I'm ashamed of the service this airport provides. Bad food and overpriced, not many choices, bad service, both international and domestic. All staff not very helpful nor friendly. They must improve their service, at least put a smile on their face and speak more friendly.

"very friendly and helpful"

Verified Review | I arrived and departed at terminal 2. There were no queues at immigration, but the officers seem to be trying hard to be unfriendly. I found other people at the airport very friendly and helpful. There are good options for shopping and dinning. The airport was clean with inadequate seating. It was a bit chaotic at the security scanning and at gates.

"there was no queue whatsoever"

Verified Review | Was transiting through KLIA 2 with AirAsia with my routing being BBI-KUL-DMK. Flight arrived on concourse Q and my departing flight was from Gate P21. Went to transfer desk and checked my departing flight's gate number. Then there was a security check. Being 6.45am, there was no queue whatsoever. Just before entering concourse P, there was another security check. However, here there was a queue which took around 10 mins to clear. I was carrying a water bottle with me which was 1/4 filled. I was not flagged at the earlier seurity check just after the transfer desk, however it was told to empty my bottle at the security check located before concourse P. The walk to the gate was long. However washrooms, prayer rooms and water facilities are there at regular intervals. Wifi was working pretty good.

"an amazingly easy airport for transit passengers"

Verified Review | Along with Singapore an amazingly easy airport for transit passengers. Straight from aircraft to lounge with no need for security screening like Australia or Hong Kong. Highly recommended as a transit facility when you already have your onward boarding pass.
