Terminal D. Check in ok a stamp on the boarding card before security then through passports with minimal fuss. Lounge wouldn't accept star alliance gold card so left in a terminal with 2 tiny bars (about 10 seats each) and 2 small duty free shops. Neither bar accepted American express as payment so a long wait by the gate it was. Terminal (including toilets) very clean and tidy though and the wifi works. The only positive things I can say about it to be honest.

If transferring make sure you have plenty of time. I arrived from at B and needed to be bussed to F and it was all very confusing and a very lengthy process. When finally dropped in F a major scrum takes place where you yet again need to go through some non-descript passport control and only one security gate. Make sure you are at the front of the queue and be assertive enough to make sure you get through it all as quickly as possible since they are really not prepared to for large transit volumes. Terminal F is just a large hall with some extremely overpriced bars.

I used it several time within last 3 weeks for arrival and departure. At Terminal B (the oldest one) everything was like usual but since the new Terminal D was recently open for operation number of passengers there somewhat reduced which means that things have become more efficient. I had no delays at security or passport control on both departures and arrivals. Bus service on departure was annoying (cold and windy weather) but on arrival they gave us a jet bridge to deplane. Didn't have hold bags so was off the airport 10 minutes after arrival. Talking about Terminal D (newly) opened I liked it in every aspect (bright airy plenty of seats lots of jet bridges so no bus rides any more) but it has absolutely no places to eat or buy anything. I realise that it just opened for regular flights and traffic is low but such basic needs as cup of coffee or snack must be respected. On departure I was through passport and security control in 3 minutes on arrival I was off the airport 7 minutes after landing. Overall the airport is very efficient and clean but customer service remains an issue there.

Travelled from Moscow to Barcelona via KBP (Terminal F). All in all the experience was ok. Waiting areas were clean and quiet but it was late autumn and there were cold draughts everywhere. Seats were comfortable lines were not long. The staff were generally not very polite and understanding. Everything they sold in "F" and "B" terminals was very much overpriced. Duty-Free shops were also not the cheapest. Free Wi- Fi was the best thing to do. Boarding usually takes some extra time because there are no jet bridges in Terminal F.

Some of the info submitted is now well out-of-date. Domestic arrivals and departures use Terminal B only Terminal F is used for international arrivals and departures. Terminal B is around 300 metres from Terminal F is served by small 20 sealer free buses or you can take a 10 minutes walk if you are flying on elsewhere in Ukraine. It is true that staff are uninterested but that is the Eastern European way so far as service is concerned. It is also true facilities are lacking and catering wildly over-priced. Nevertheless I found it efficient enough. Give yourself plenty of time. My flight from Brussels was well handled and my bag on the carousel within minutes. You no longer have to fill in customs forms unless you are in possession of large amount of currency (ies) or bullion and the customs men were fine agreeable and English speaking. I had to take it to Terminal B and check in once more for my onward flight to Odessa. Terminal B has only one cafe where it cost 184 Hrivinas (about $18) for a toasted cheese sandwich and a pint of Stella Artois. They didn't even blush when asking this shameful amount! Coming back (you take the transfer bus waiting at the plane steps to Terminal F) although my bag was ticketed through to the UK I actually had to pick it up where the truck drops all the plane's luggage and check it in again just inside the building. There were no signs or announcements to explain this. It was when I got to that modern airport marvel Schiphol at Amsterdam my bag failed to get picked up for its last leg of the journey. The joys of travel!

Connected from VV from LWO to RIX with BT (sold as VV codeshare). VV does not appear to check bags through to final destination so had to pick up bags and recheck in KBP. Terminal B is not impressive. The domestic baggage belt is tiny so it will be a scrum to get your bag. The entire terminal has only 2 jet bridges so there's an excellent chance you'll be riding a bus to the terminal and plane (the NYC flight does use a gate due to the extra security). I had a 2.5 hour layover and when my bag finally arrived I discovered I couldn't check in yet. There were a few places to eat in the arrivals area and a couple other shops. I joined the others staring at the departure board waiting for the check in counter to be posted. BT has its own check in staff so you won't be lined up with VV. Passport control was fairly quick and so was security. After you past security in the international half of the terminal there are 3 duty free shops (2 were closed) and about 3 cafes. That's it for shopping so you won't be picking up any last minute souvenirs. There's also no place to change money so if you don't spend all your hyrvnia in duty free or at the expensive (by Ukraine standards) cafes you are out of luck.

Avoid Kiev airport transfer at all costs. Staff are surly and rude signage is zero information is impossible to find even the business class lounge is uncomfortable and unwelcoming. You apparently can't check-in through Kiev you have to join an interminable queue into 4 desks 2 of which are for same airline continuation and two not but nobody tells you that until you've been waiting for hours. Approached a gentleman who seemed to be in authority to get info "Can I ask a question?" answer: "No" with a dismissive wave of the hand. After quite some time stuck in this crowded room with no access to water or food and insufficient seating. Unsmiling unhelpful and unpleasant airport and airline staff do not entice one to return to spend what I suspect is much needed foreign currency. No escalators anywhere just lots of stairs so people with luggage really suffer trying to get anywhere! We had hoped to get out to look at Kiev but didn't dare risk it given that airport staff seemed so unhelpful.

Quite far away from Kyiv. Large walking distances. Fair waiting time in lines. Cafe and restaurants prices over the top!

I fly into and out of Borispol quite regularly and was pleasantly surprised today - terminal F was just a breeze (although late afternoon it was not the busiest time). Finally they've changed the queuing for the immigration so now it's just one queue with the airport staff directing passengers to the available immigration officer. And immigration officers do smile now! Hopefully it will stay that way after Euro 2012. The luggage arrived nearly immediately. I was out in 15 min.

Arrived at terminal F made trip to terminal B by foot (10 min walk). Checked in my suitcase 2.5 hours before flight left no problems whatsoever. On journey back things were a little different. Had to take a transit bus from the plane to terminal F. There you enter the terminal straight from the tarmac my suitcase took about 30 minutes to arrive. Then had to wait 1 hour on gate 28 and 29 for transfer passengers UIA. Total lack of organisation.
