✅ Trip Verified | Worst international airport, especially the immigration, they work very slow, only 6 counters open for many departures. They make very stupid questions, what will make the que longer and longer. Food and beverage are overpriced and quality not good.

Not Verified | Waiting time is unacceptable. Staff was the slowest and most arrogant I’ve seen. Joke. Visa on arrival 20 minutes. Immigration 1 hour. Get your clearance 20 minutes. Out of airport 15 minutes.

✅ Trip Verified | Not recommended if having a long time between connecting flights, but otherwise it is good. The airport is clean and tidy. A good variety of shops to cater for the traveller. Food is varied, international flavours and of high quality. Immigration is slow, allowing only 1 person at the counter at a time, so therefore, families and groups take longer to process. Allow more time to be processed through immigration versus other countries/airports and allow longer transit times if connecting to another flight. If needing to connect to a domestic flight, look out for the transit cart. I had a 7hrs layover between flights and Bali International is not the place to do this! There is no air con and no power points. I would never transit through Bali again if the lay-over time is longer, I'd try flying via Jakarta instead. Check-in counters open 3hrs before departure, check-in area is air-conditioned but was told there are no seats inside, which is roughly right. I did have to check-in at area E, which was down corridors and stairs and it was a big air conditioned space. I saw lots of vacant seats but if was too late to know this after sweltering in the pre-departure check-in area where there are cafes.

Not Verified | The airport itself is fairly new and therefore well maintained with lots of shops and restaurants as well as ample seating. However, customs and immigration were incredibly bad and look 2 hours to clear. We only made our flight because after much complaining they decided to allow non-Indonesian passport holders to use the air crew line.

Not Verified |  Needed wheelchair assistance yesterday at Bali airport and this lovely young man called Alvin went above and beyond in assisting us. Cannot praise him enough. I hope I meet him on the way out. However on arrival I had to navigate stairs from plane and onto the tarmac.

✅ Trip Verified | Mixed experience at Bali Airport. The arrival was really good, very short queue at the Visa On Arrival desks, immigration was also very quick and as we had completed the on-line customs declaration we were through the airport in around 30 minutes. We did use the toilets in the baggage area, which weren't the best, but there was soap in the dispensers and the hand dryers worked! The departure process was not great, the queue for security was long and slow. Once this was cleared immigration also had a long queue and was slow. Staff were pleasant enough, but it is a bit tedious. Well worth checking in at least 2 hours prior to your flight.

✅ Trip Verified | One of the worst international airports. Lounges closed, toilets without toilet rolls, broken faucets, trickling water in the faucets .. hard to believe they just hosted G20 in Bali! One the contrary immigration and checkin was smooth

✅ Trip Verified | Strip searched at this airport on arrival. Despite explaining I had worked as a nurse and left role after the pandemic due to PTSD. Customs officer was very rude and asking a lot of questions about my current occupation in construction and how I can afford to travel so much and why I am not married with wife and kids. I'm actually traveling because if I didn't this winter suicide was likely. I have PTSD from working through the pandemic on covid wards. I believe I was profiled as a drug dealer due to appearance or ethnicity and traveling alone as a male. Horrible experience. Never have I been strip searched in my life and I believe they had no good reason to do so. No one else stopped was strip searched but I was the only single male. Horrible experience.

✅ Trip Verified | Just terrible. Had to pass through 5 checks of various types with each one causing aggravation and issues. Every attendant took it upon themselves to find a problem with our luggage or anything else possible. Then after 2 luggage security checks we bought a few drinks to replace what had been confiscated, only to find another hand luggage search to enter the boarding gate where our new drinks and other liquid items where again taken away. All the Bali smiles were not to be found at Denpasar. I doubt I'll bother going again, Bali's only ever been Thailand's intellectually limited little brother anyway. Who needs the hassle.
