Copenhagen Airport

Not Verified | The airport was very poorly organized. People were forced to queue several times. There was insufficient seating. The airflow in waiting areas was insufficient for the number of passengers. Despite the fact the plane was at the gate the Team was unable to organize the servicing and resupplying of the plane and it was delayed several times. While the staff at the airport were polite they hardly appeared to be making any effort to move faster to overcome the delays. Overall, one of the poorest airport experiences in Europe.

Not Verified | I always thought that Stansted was as bad as it got for a departure lounge being more of a shopping centre than an airport but at least they have some seats. CPH on the other hand has it totally sussed. You no buy you cannot sit, seems to be the principle they operate. It is without doubt the worst airport I have encountered for this. It was bad enough waiting on our customary delayed easyJet flight, but transiting this place must be hellish if you are here for any time. On the up side the check-in team for easyJet were very helpful. But finishing on a negative, the drivers of the buses to and from the car hire centre were as about as miserable and rude as I have encountered. So loved Denmark but hate this exceptionally naff airport. My advice especially for transit, go just about anywhere else even Charles De Gaulle and that's saying something though they do have acres of seats there.

✅ Trip Verified | Copenhagen is not a good airport. And it starts with security: Unless you are flying with SAS as a premium passenger, there is no fast lane. Lufthansa Business Class: no fast lane. Lufthansa Senator: no fast lane. It often takes me 15 minutes or more to go through security. After security is the bright and colorful shopping mall to get to the gates. The gates are dark and old with barely enough seating. Just not nice. Check in area small and crowded. Luggage belt dark and crowded. Copenhagen has good access to public transport and is close to the city and Sweden.

Not Verified | Very noisy with dance music beating out at extremely high volume at 04.00 in the morning from an outlet called Joe and the Juice. The music from the outlet is polluting the atmosphere within several 100s of yards. Have complained to staff here, and they say it is part of CPH Airports concept. Well, business traveller, go elsewhere. Otherwise nice small airport but almost all shops and outlets close outside business hours. Seating is pretty bad in larger parts of the airport. At the F gates there are seats beyond immigration and at the C departure gates, the airport has gone all classic Danish design, meaning it all looks fab and architectural but the chairs (Myre-chairs) are awful to sit in for a tired traveller. Design over comfort or lack of comfort.

✅ Trip Verified | Sadly a dreadful experience where they have prioritised shops and making money over passenger experience. Nowhere to sit except in cafes etc. Incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable. I have never experienced an airport like it. You can fill bottle with drinkable tap water in the toilets, which is a positive.

Not Verified | On arrival here, it took a while to get my checked bags. The metro into the city is easy to get to but lines for tickets are long. For my departure, the airport was very busy (noon on weekend) but lines generally went pretty fast. There are many self-service check-in kiosks that are easy to use. There are a lot of staff, most of whom where helpful. The only long wait I had was for passport control (leaving the EU).

✅ Trip Verified | Travelled all over the world and worst airport yet. 2.5 hours to get baggage after arrival and it was not even that busy. Going through customs the officer was more interested in chatting up the young women who had just arrived back from their holiday. Over 4 hours it took to get out of the airport after plane landed. On departure it was terrible queues of people line cutting, changing lanes and pushing in to get to immigration. Rude staff and rude security. The toilets were dirty and there was hardly any seating for the amount of people on flight, everyone just started lining up to get on plane and then you had to push thru the crowd whenypur section was called. I will continue to travel to Denmark however will fly in via Germany.

✅ Trip Verified | This was my first time in Scandinavia and I was very much looking forward to my experience. Unfortunately my earlier flight was delayed so my experience would be limited to the airport. I really appreciated the small touches (automated check in and baggage drop, very stylized security protocol video at security check entrance) but I had a terrible experience with their security staff who seemed to take pleasure in terrorizing travelers who could not adhere to the strict “everything in one small plastic bag” policy for toiletries. This has never been enforced as militantly in any of the other 30+ countries I’ve traveled to. I was rather disappointed that she so gleefully took a handful of my small bottles (which were already individually bagged with care) and tossed them away without my permission. It rather ruined my experience, so negative marks for service here. The airport is beautiful though and reminds me of one big concept store.

✅ Trip Verified | Yes, seating is terrible and very few electrical sockets. Pretty airport but not functional. I was sitting in terminal number two, section C. Look for a gate where people are boarding.

❌ Not Verified | Worst seating accommodations I've seen in dozens of airports worldwide. Passenger walkways or aisles very crowded. Danes must be among the most competent and hospitable people in the world so I was surprised by the obsolescence of passenger accommodations. Departure gate seating for about 75 people for a jet holding 250. Cleanliness was good and staff helpful with Danish friendliness evident. Extra questioning of each passenger was unpleasant, irrelevant to anywhere but Tell Aviv, and invasive. Love the Danes but will avoid CPH.
