"4 hours to get through check in, security and passport"

Not Verified | Absolutely horrible service, first took 4 hours to get through check in, security and passport checking, were told our plane would wait for us but once we arrived to our gate we were not allowed on the plane (even though it was still there and we were told we would be able to). Then not being able to transfer to another flight and having to pay an extra $600 plus adding a 10 hr stop to our trip, making our travel time over 24hrs to go 1hr away. Absolutely horrible staff and rude people. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

"Security was fast"

Trip Verified | Clean airport. Some facilities (escalators in Terminal 1) were unused. Maybe because of Covid (still in recovery) Security was fast and Brussels airlines check in was really fast

"it's a disappointing experience"

Trip Verified | I arrived and departed from the B terminal, which is used for non-schengen flights. It's the oldest terminal and the whole atmosphere is rather 90s and outdated. Seating isn't very comfortable, staff is okayish but often far from friendly. Duty-free shopping was actually the best part of this airport. Catering is outrageously expensive and vending machines often don't work. Being a capital airport it's a disappointing experience.

"Worst airport for baggage handling"

Not Verified | Worst airport for baggage handling. All the times I have transited through Brussels Airport the luggage never arrives at my destination always stays behind. Last time it rained in the Loft business lounge and they evacuated it. Staff at the gate are the most unhelpfully and arrogant of all the airports I know. A third world experience in Northern Europe.

"Luggage handling is poor quality"

Trip Verified | Luggage handling is poor quality. Belts full of bags left behind. Luggage arrives to belt much later than people, even it is very long way from gate with covid form check. Priority luggage arrived as last from the same flight. Customs is blackmailing management for advantages by harassing passengers. Security check has long queues. No place for good quality food. Lounge had small variety of food and all had dry edges. Although, plenty to drink. Most staff act like they don't care.

"the baggage is always delayed"

"staff are not able to make anyone respect even the most basic safety measures"

Trip Verified | Disgusting. One of the worst airports I have ever been to. There is a damn pandemic and staff at the metal detector are not able to make anyone respect even the most basic safety measures. Whoever is in charge of this place should be fired for utter incompetence.

"Shocking amount of time to check in"

Not Verified | Shocking amount of time to check in, with poor organisation and weak staff manning it, took 1.5 hours to simply check in! I believe this contributed to the second delayed departure I have had from Brussels in the past 6 weeks!

"I had a great customer experience"

Not Verified | I had a great customer experience at Brussels Airport. I contacted the chatbot and I was forwarded to a very friendly, professional and helpful customer servant. I had lost my jacket at the Airport and together with her colleagues this staff member went to look for it and arranged that I could pick it up the day later even if the lost and found was closed. The service was all the time very individual and I felt that they went for an extra mile to help me with my lost jacket! A big thank you for all the three of them!
