Not Verified | What a total pain this airport is. The queues at security are a joke. The airport has gone steadily down hill in recent years. Belfast International is the worst airport in the UK. Something needs to be done.

Not Verified | Horrible, horrible place. From the long, uncovered trek in the rain from the long stay car park, over rough ground and through puddles to the diabolical queuing for the security check, which took nearly an hour, to the overcrowded terminal with it's overpriced outlets and inadequate and unhygenic toilets and finally another trek in the rain from terminal to aircraft. Hell could give this dump a run for it's money. And yet, despite all the negative and damning reviews, nothing ever improves. This truly is is an airport that couldn't sink much lower in the publics estimation. Does the management even realise or care what the public think? Doesn't look like it.

✅ Trip Verified | Monday Morning and in the fast track security queue for 50 mins, the staff as always are rude and unhelpful, there seems to be a culture of going out of their way to be as unhelpful as possible, they are in no rush as they are paid to be there all day so what's the hurry! There was lots of shouting and frayed tempers on Monday and I can't blame people, the attitudes are disgraceful. After running to the gate and being the last on the plane, I found the normally very busy Monday morning flight to Glasgow half empty, I am quite sure they were still in the security queue. Absolutely the worst airport in the UK.

✅ Trip Verified | Yet again, the longest security delay since I was last here. I’ve had about 29 flights globally in the last month. Nowhere is as bad as Belfast International.

✅ Trip Verified | This place is a terminal joke with staff who go out of their way to be unhelpful and unpleasant. The security halls is one of the worst, slowest and unprofessional I’ve ever come across. Tell the staff your flight is boarding and they revel in the fact you’re going to miss your flight. Then when you miss your flight by one minute and the plane is still on runway and signs say it’s still boarding but staff can do nothing for you as they have pulled closed sign joke nothing but a joke and will get no better as all this place thinks about is how to rinse more cash out of you . ✅ Trip Verified | This airport is like a cattle ranch. Hour long lines and disgusting poor service. If you are in a rush expect to miss your flight. 2 gates at security for easily 1000 people queuing on a Friday night. I would avoid this airport completely in the future and just go straight to and from Dublin or even catch the ferry. What a nightmare. They need to invest some serious money if they expect the tourist industry to go. I wont recommend Belfast to friends for this reason alone.

Not Verified | This airport is not fit for purpose. Security is a complete joke. Other airports manage but at Belfast International profitability is the priority. The staff at security are rude and ignorant - a reflection on the airport's management. I understand a boycott of the airport is being planned for a week next spring.

Not Verified | Security is a joke! This used to be one of the best airports in the UK for travel. Now it’s terrible, forget turning up 3 hrs before your flight, 1 day and it’d be a trek. Sort it out, won’t be using this place again. 1 hr for the scanning at security.

✅ Trip Verified | Generally poor but set apart by very long queues for taxis (1 hour with two small girls in the cold at 11 pm) but especially the incredibly rude immigration officer after another very long queue. A real shame.

✅ Trip Verified | This airport is the laughing stock and joke of Europe. I only use because of location and had recently seen some improvements however my small toiletries bag getting X-rayed due to the fact it wouldn’t close was hilarious to watch. Toilet and washroom facilities appalling too and the photos I once took would unlikely pass moderator on this forum so therefore not attached. Other alternatives should be given a go. On the plus the wifi is good and there is ample seats if you move to tee far end of the building.
