"there isn’t enough staff"

Trip Verified | The airport infrastructure is available but there isn’t enough staff. Security check in is mostly shut whilst there are massive queues. There is no separate line for priority passengers either. Go early.

"Its unbelievable"

Trip Verified | I'm very surprised, after a couple of times travelling from Schipol airport the only time I needed to show my ID was on the desk to check in my luggage. Last time I went only with hand luggage and my eticket on my phone, and once again I passed the every controller and enter in the plane without anybody checking my identification. I think this is something can create very many risks. Its unbelievable.

"Signposts are clear"

"dictating, ordering, and utterly unfriendly"

Trip Verified | The waiting time Sunday morning at 06:00 hrs, September 15 (Check-in 1A) was 60 minutes! That in itself is totally unacceptable. Moreover the security staff (from a company I do not know) was dictating, ordering, and utterly unfriendly. A lady standing before the security zone was saying to desperate passengers, that it was their "duty to arrive at the airport 3 hours before departure". If this is true, I would urge the management of the airport to confirm that message in a clear fashion! It this is true, we will solve the Earth' environmental issues very soon!

"Staff just stand around"

Not Verified | Such long queues - not even at the bag check but at the passport control machines. Staff just stand around and do absolutely nothing to help or to manage the queues. Machines break down and nothing gets done to bring the people in that queue to another machine - this is just asking for frustrated people to become angry. When you show you're in a rush you get a comment from this blond guy in his cabin 'Next time get here on time'. So rude if you have no idea what's made people late and stressed. People could have anxieties, delays beyond their control, emotional goodbyes etc. No point in being rude when you run such a disorganised operation yourself!

"A horrible experience"

Not Verified | At security my suitcase was put on recheck. The security employee was ignoring it and checking bags of other passengers. When, after the third bag, I asked her to finally check my bag, she claimed she called for the owner many times, which is not true. I was standing there the whole time. When her colleague wanted to check it, she told him (in Dutch) to leave it and let me wait. She was not happy when I remarked in Dutch that customer service training might be needed. A horrible experience.

"Please sort this chaos out!"

Trip Verified | Could not find EasyJet check-in, could not get anyone to help. Every official we asked gave us different info for our checking in departure for EasyJet desk to Glasgow. Signage for European flights could be clearer. Must have walked miles up and down the airport because the signage was unclear. Could not get a trolley for our luggage. No EasyJet staff there at the check in desk to indicate that Speedy Boarding was a separate queue for checking in when we eventually found our check in desk which was manned by about 5 staff for all EasyJet flights out of Amsterdam and a queue of over 150 people. I overheard a young couple with children discuss trying to get speedy boarding as they had children, that’s when I realised that we could use our speedy boarding to “Skip the queue”. I am 68 and this experience really spoilt a wonderful trip to Amsterdam and if we had had to wait in the queue we would have missed our flight (had it not been delayed) even though we were at the airport 2 hours before our stated departure time. Please get the signage Europe and Non European Flights prominently displayed in the airport. It would also help if Tour operators EasyJet etc. had their logos prominently displayed. Because of all the hassle we had no time to relax in the airport and buy refreshments or duty free even though our flight was delayed by one hour! EasyJet only showed H as our departure gate until the flight was called, we were told on screen H6 at the same time as the boarding details came over the tannoy, not good enough for elderly and disabled passengers. Please sort this chaos out!

"Dreadful experience"

Trip Verified | Dreadful experience. Toilets filthy, automatic flushes not working, many closed. The slowest boarding ever experienced in 50 years of air travel, one person doing the boarding, strikes of baggage handlers. Electric sockets not working etc etc. I have used Schiphol for 12 years and it has gone downhill

"Not a very good experience"

NotVerified | Lack of monitors at arrival gates for connecting flights is dangerous for older passengers connecting to other cities. Then gate was changed without any PA announcement. Not a very good experience.
