✅ Trip Verified | Tampa to Calgary via Denver. Recently; my 3 boys, and I, plus our 2 dogs flew with United. The flight we booked was to travel home to Alberta after missing the ticketing timeline with westjet at baggage & ticket kiosk by less than 15 minutes, they refused to check our bags assuming we couldnt possibly get through security in time. As such we were not issued our boarding passes. So we took the cheapest flight I could find for the next day, with United. (Which was surprisingly reasonable.) There was issue when we first flew out of Tampa, and had to land in Houston and change plains. Once in Houston we were delayed maybe 2 hours, due to weather and we weren't the only travelers being detained because of the winter weather happening in Denver. When we finally arrived in Denver, we had missed our connecting flight and it kinda just gets longer from there due to so many travelers in similar situations. It wasnt pleasant nor was it really avoidable, and despite the several hundreds of people rerouted or detained - I can't thank United for their empathetic response throughout the venture and their commitment to customer service. From the booking and getting my dogs their boarding pass, to rescheduling both in person the first time, to calling and requesting a second choice to have us home a little sooner over the phone, United was cordial and apologetic and more than accommodating. It was an inconvenient couple of days and some issues resulted from the rebooking confusion that were human error, but put right with as much haste as they could. I had insurance for my original flight - and they dismissed me immediately and I tried to communicate with westjet at the time we were to travel on their flight and was rudely told, "be on time next time." (Which seems bs, since that plain departed 45 minutes late.) Extra thanks to Donna who dealt with following up on any grievances or issues she could help with after we arrived home. I very much appreciate everyone's extra effort on our behalf, knowing we were not the only ones in the same situation. Our flight home was short and sweet and we were as comfortable as we would have been on any other Express flight.

✅ Trip Verified | Cabo San Lucas to La Guardia via Houston. This is the worst airline ever. The lines were miles long at Newark just to go through TSA. We were a group of 8. Airport staff had to assist us in skipping the line just to make our flight that was boarding in ten minutes. We were literally on a 2 hour line. Our flight was empty because 80% of the passengers missed the flight. On our way back home, we left Cabo and arrived to Houston to connect to get to NYC. Once again Bs! The flight landed and we were on the tarmac for a while waiting for space. People were telling the flight attendants to make a announcement to let the people that have connecting flights off first. They made the announcement last minute, and it didn’t help because once again everyone missed their flights. There was a long line to get a receipt for customs. Then we had to get our bags and recheck them. Houston’s airport needs a AirTran because we ran for miles just to reach our gate. Of course the flight left everyone behind. There’s was only one flight leaving back to Newark. Only two people from my party of 8 was able to fly standby. 80 percent of our flight had to stay the night in Houston. I’ve never seen anything like this before. I would rather fly with Spirit or Southwest! You get to the airport hours before and still miss your flight. I have no idea why they would book connecting flight that they know, there’s no way possible you can make the connecting flight. How can you make it from one flight to the next and make it through long lines and tsa/get bags/recheck bags/run miles to your gate.

✅ Trip Verified | Portland to San Francisco. I was very disappointed the Basic fare did not include standard carryons, and I had to pay extra $30 and had to be check in only and not able to bring on the plane. Other airlines basic fares still include carryons as always. But United decided to wanna be like Frontier. I will avoid flying with United again and would advise others to do the same.

Not Verified | Houston to Orange County. Put us on plane to wait over an hour for crew. Why put us on plane only to sit without a/c? Ridiculous. The stewardesses were clueless and couldn’t give us updates. Disappointing for sure.

✅ Trip Verified | Cincinnati to San Antonio via Chicago. United delayed flight from Chicago to Austin by 5 hrs for vessel repairs. United customer service at Chicago was not helpful at all to help arrange another flight. I had an appointment to see a medical specialist and had to reschedule Medical specialist appointment. United Poor maintenance and inspection practices cost will cost me nearly $500 for addition hotel charges, rental car charges, and flight modification charges. United airlines made no offer of attempt to rectify the situation. I will not use United airlines in the future. I can understand sometimes delay issues arise in the airline business, however United Airlines customer service failures should not be overlooked.

Not Verified | Los Angeles to Richmond via Chicago. I should have read the reviews before booking the flight. Pretty much Everything I read has happened to me on this one flight. Late takeoff causing missed connection, very rude gate attendant, while in Chicago the gate was changed three times. It’s been a total nightmare. I will Never fly on United ever again. I’d rather pay more money for another airline than fly on United again. It is just that bad.

✅ Trip Verified | Raleigh to Chicago. Flight was to leave at 12:30 and it’s 4:45 and we are still waiting. Not sure if we will make our connecting flight and employees don’t seem to care. I am very disappointed.

✅ Trip Verified | Fort Lauderdale to Newark. The delay on this flight was unconscionable. The First Class food choices were awful and on this flight the second choice was not even available. Economy passengers were allowed to use the First Class restroom which limited their accessibility and it is something First Class passengers pay more for. This is a recurring theme on this route.

Not Verified | Edmonton to Panama via Houston. Fantastic flight and service. Thank you. Our flights going to Panama and the return to Edmonton Ab Canada were great. Service at Panama and Houston Airports were wonderful. My wheel chair and "pushers" were prompt and courteous. Thanks again for a safe and enjoyable flight.

Not Verified | Las Vegas to Baltimore Washington. I can't say enough good things about the customer service I received on United Airlines. As a mother traveling alone with a Special Needs child and a child who had gotten injured at a soccer tournament the staff at United Airlines went above and beyond. I cant tell you what a relief it was to have their support. Thank you to the staff. I would fly United anytime.
