"she went above and beyond"

"What a nightmare this flight was"

Not Verified | Houston to Pittsburgh. 7 to 8 hour delay. We were suppose to leave at 9:30 am and left at 3:30 pm. First it was delayed in plane getting there, then the pilot was missing and then on top of it we were boarded in the plane and when the pilot showed up and did the last minute inspection and saw the tires were to be changed.. We were told to get off the plane again and as they had to change the tires so had to reboard again. The sage did not end there as when we arrived at Pittsburgh we stood at the gate for 10 to 15 minutes before the operation crew showed up. What a nightmare this flight was. United needs to work on their operations and customer service for sure.

"delays and terrible service"

Trip Verified | Houston to Nashville. Four plus hour delay, no food coupons, no looking into other airlines for another flight. Nothing. I have flown with United before, and have always had delays and terrible service. United Airlines service is minimal at best, with zero interest in it's customers whatsoever. This is my last flight with United.

"customer service =is horrendous"

Trip Verified | Detroit to Houston. All the customer service for United is horrendous. On my flight to Detroit, the plane started boarding at 7:00 and stopped boarding at 7:10. I got to the gate at 7:12. The podium attendant refused to let me through the gate and I had to sit at the airport until the next flight, three hours later. Coming back to Houston from Detroit. My ticket didn’t have a seat number on it. So I went up to the podium attendant to assign me, as my ticket stated. I have a hearing deficiency, which I was unable to hear her calling me originally. When I got up to the podium she refused to make eye contact with me and told me me that I have to move three feet back, making it to where I couldn’t hear her at all.

"seat assignment is messed up"

Trip Verified | Seattle to Oklahoma City via San Francisco. The seat assignment is messed up. They put whoever had a connection with little time to get to the gate at the back of the plane, the first plane was 20 min late and the next flight was on time. They consider a wallet / purse as a carry on. We did have a good laugh . We didn’t choose to fly with United Airlines, I had no other choice. The seats are like an animal cafe the further we go back. They are absolutely not real. We were trying to get in plane and the flight attendant made us wait at the door so she can serve orange juice to first class (first class was a joke). Never like to fly with UA

"airline that is absolutely below par"

Trip Verified | Charlotte to Ottawa via Washington. My morning flight was canceled, and we were rebooked for an afternoon flight on 8/7. The two flights in the afternoon was delayed many times, then canceled. No word! I checked my App which showed we were booked for morning flights to our destination. However, I got a message from Expedia saying that United cancelled our two flights tomorrow as well. No rerouting, no calls, they don't seem to care if you get to your destination. We are back home preparing for starting the process again tomorrow until we got the message from Expedia telling us the flights are again canceled. This is an important trip and I have a very important presentation at a conference in Ottawa. We are wondering if we need to purchase another ticket through a different airline at higher prices given that we must leave tomorrow when should have left today! It is an airline that is absolutely below par.

"drove to my final destination"

Not Verified | Cleveland to Denver via Jackson Hole. Huge issue, United Airlines cancelled my flight, claimed it was weather (it was not, they were behind schedule, other flights continually left the airport at that time) and refused to refund me. I drove to my final destination.

"quality is complete ripoff"

Trip Verified | Newark to Seattle. I fly United every alternate week and its a bad airline. Their quality is complete ripoff. I travel because United has better connection and other airports are way too far. Given an option, will switch to American Airlines. The seat size, seat space is like they are transporting furniture.

"treated in such a poor manner"

Trip Verified | Tel Aviv to Newark. I Put out some extra dollars for “Premium plus” cabin which was touted as business class comparable. Cost just over $3000 round trip for the ticket and not with it. Firstly - I was denied access to the lavatory right in front of me, mind you I did not have to pass through or by Polaris cabin. The fact that the toilet was not available to premium plus cabin customers would have been ok if that was the policy except that everyone else in my cabin was using it and even economy class customers. On asking why I was denied the flight attendant rudely replied to use the lavatory at the back in economy where my seat was although I indicated it was in premium plus. Secondly, the meal I was served was the same as economy class although it was advertised to be the same as Polaris. The economy class packaged meal was cold as a dog’s nose, the bread was stale and crumbling apart - and when I told the flight attendant, mind you I mentioned that I knew it was not her fault and would be happy with a snack or some chips to which she said no, she went on to Insult me and said that it was my fault that the meal was cold to my amazement? I immediately thought to myself - I just be in the twilight zone! She then signals to other flight attendants and points at me in an aggressive manner. At no time was I disrespectful or raised my voice. Now this made me very embarrassed and concerned for my safety so After declining to participate in any further refreshments out of fear and sitting quietly in my seat for 10 + hours into the flight, the flight attendant comes up to me and asks why I did t eat or drink anything for the approx. 12 hour flight and if I wanted anything just when the pilot instructs to fasten seatbelts for us to land. Really? I cannot comprehend why I was treated in such a poor manner but will be sure to spread the word as far and as wide in as many forums as possible in as many languages as I could This is the Worse Customer experience I’ve ever encountered and exacerbated as I was fearful for my wellbeing and worried of being victimized by the flight attendant.

"the worst airline ever!"

Trip Verified | Absolutely the worst airline ever! Every time I have ever flown with them the flight is delayed and no one tells you anything! They don’t even tell you the flight is delayed if you don’t check your email. They continue to act as if everything is normal, make you wait with no answers, put you on the plane only to have you sit there for over an hour before you take off and there is little to no information coming to you! I don’t understand how these people are still in business! Flights are supposed to make traveling long distances faster and easier, if that’s true what is this?!
