"a great experience"
6 reviews Artha The (Indonesia)
✅ Verified Review | Paris to Bangkok with their A380. This was a family holiday with 7 people. We did the mobile check-in a day before travel time, it was easy and smooth. Departure and arrival time was 30 minutes late. Flight was great, the FA was kind and attentive, and served with smiles, compare with our previous flight from Bangkok to Paris where most of the FAs look a little bit tired. IFE was great with plenty of movies and entertainment choices. The only minus point was me must wait around 45 minutes while waiting to disembark since they had a technical issue with the jet bridge. I was worried about my connection flight to Jakarta since the transit time only 2 hour, but they were still waiting for us. Overall, it's a great experience flying with them.

"no complaint about this flight"
6 reviews Artha The (Indonesia)
✅ Verified Review | Bangkok to Jakarta. It was not their newest air fleet but the old Boeing 777. The flight was smooth, most of the FAs surprisingly fluent in English compare with my flights with them before. The food was so so. The IFE was basic but fine. Although this was not their newest fleet but surely they do good in maintenance, the cabin was clean and fresh. Departure time was 30 minutes late due to operational reason, but still no complaint about this flight and their service.

"inflight service was fantastic"
B Parker (Thailand)
✅ Verified Review | Excellent ground service from Bangkok to Frankfurt with Thai Airways. Excellent spa experience. Food in the lounge was ok. Food on the plane was good. Caviar was excellent. Inflight service was fantastic. The seat is very comfortable. I really enjoy the flight. The only thing to improve is that the choice of pre order meal is a little bit limited. Singapore Airlines (book the cook) is great example that Thai Airways should study to improve the pre order service.

"food was mediocre at best"
C Morrison (Hong Kong)
✅ Verified Review | Return of outward journey 9 days ago flying from Bangkok to Hong Kong. Plane was certainly cleaner, however food was mediocre at best. Plane left on time but arrived late. Some passengers had brought their own food to consume. Nothing was said by staff to these passengers . It was a good price.

"a good experience in long haul economy"
Ron West (Japan)
✅ Verified Review | Flew Melbourne to Osaka via Bangkok. Thai used to have fantastic leg room in economy, but now it's down to 32" or 31" seat pitch, OK but not really comfortable for someone 194cm tall, as I am. The Boeing 777-200 on the first leg was old but OK, the front economy cabin on the A380 on the second leg was curtained off from the rest of the aircraft and was a very quiet and comfortable area - not surprising given that this area is used by some airlines for first class. Food and service on both flights were very good (given that it's Y class after all) and the baggage allowance generous (40kg for me as a silver status Royal Orchid Program flyer). However, being offered almost identical two breakfasts on the same day (one on the inbound aircraft and one on the outbound aircraft five hours later) wasn't a great experience - at least I had a choice of main dish so could vary it slightly. The international transfer arrangements in BKK are a disgrace - the airport is really letting the airline down. I arrived in BKK on TG 462 at 6am and departed TG672 at 8.25am. I joined the transfer queue at around 6.20am and only got through security at around 7.25. A lot of the time was spent held back at a gate where desperate pax with tight connections were coming forward and begging to be allowed through but told by unsympathetic officials to go back into the queue. I had sufficient time to make my onward flight but the whole process was stressful and I think that BKK airport's bureaucratic incompetence really undermines a lot of the good work done by TG staff on long haul flights. For the most part, though, Thai provides a good experience in long haul economy.

M Dawkins (Australia)
✅ Verified Review | Sydney to Rome via Bangkok with Thai Airways. Fantastic for families and children, always smiling. Happy to assist and make everyone comfortable in our group. Great service and highly recommended. Food was also good and plenty. I would travel with them again to Europe and the rest of the world

"meal was inedible"
R L Marlen (Hong Kong)
✅ Verified Review | Hong Kong to Bangkok. The plane was filthy and meal served out of Hong Kong was inedible, many complained about it and asked for another one, but came up the same. The price was the only saving factor. The person in front just dropped his seat during meal service, without a care in the world, unfortunately have the return to look forward too!

"experience was exceptional"
H Pang (Hong Kong)
✅ Verified Review | Hong Kong to London Heathrow via Bangkok. Flying experience was exceptional. The first flight from Hong Kong to Bangkok was delayed for one hour due to the thunderstorm in Hong Kong. This shrunk my transfer time by one hour. However, ground staff at Bangkok airport friendly helped us and the connection was finally smooth. From Hong Kong to Bangkok I flewed on an old B747 but entertainment system was updated. Cabin crew was enthusiastic and hot towel was provided when boarding. From Bangkok to London I flewed on A380. Although legroom was tighter than that on B747, it provides more seat recline and I found it comfortable as well as a 190cm. Food was among the best, especially compared with airlines in China. Each meal consisted of hot food, dessert and salad. Freshly baked croissant was provided at breakfast. I will definitely fly with Thai again.

"service highly exceeded any previous experience"
C Fisher (Japan)
✅ Verified Review | Flew Paris CDG to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. First long haul flight in a very long time on an Thai A380. Royal Silk Class is a 1-2-1 configuration, and I had a B seat (window side, but slightly separated from the wall). Comfortable seat, two window-side storage bins, plenty of space between the seat and the window to put your shoes and other stuff. What I like of the A380 seat is that you can slide the tray with your full dinner on it and easily move out of your seat. I am used to high quality service and excellent food in Royal Silk, but this time the service highly exceeded any previous experience. Excellent flight overall. If I only had any - very minor - complaints it would be that, after 5 years in service, the monitors seem to have a lower resolution than more modern aircraft (or probably it's only my impression, as my inbound flight was on a super modern A350 where the monitor quality was impeccable), also, the restrooms, even in Royal Silk, feel quite small comparing to Thai's A350 or B747. Also about the restrooms, I was happy to find that the moisture lotion has gone back to the excellent Bulgari Eau Parfumée au Thé (Blanc now, it used to be Vert a few years ago), after switching to Era's Cloud Nine for a while. The only pity is that the lady in front of me stole the whole bottle after less than 15 minutes into the flight. Despite these little details, a great flight experience! One final note: check-in, as always at CDG, was a nightmare. But it wouldn't be fair to give a bad evaluation to Thai's ground staff for that, as it was handled by CDG's staff. Even at embarkment, the lines handled by Thai's staff proceeded very swiftly, while my line (handled by CDG staff) was incredibly slow.

"service was not as expected"
8 reviews Hannes Schauer (Germany)
✅ Verified Review | Thai offered very attractive rates. We booked Frankfurt to Bangkok then on to Phuket and Krabi. I briefly want to describe how different services with one airline can be. FRA-BKK was the afternoon flight TG921 with the B777-300ER. Unfortunatlely we had the entertainment box beneath our seats which made the space additional tight. The entertainment system was a bit difficult to understand and it took a while to find German translated movies. The service was not as expected. This was very average only. Additional our row was served a german traditional meal (thick noodles, red cabbage and goulash). No alternate was ordered. It felt like there were 3 german meals left and need to be distributed asap. This wasn’t satisfying. Drinks were served before and while lunch. Once again just before landing in Bangkok. In the meantime drinks were available in the Galley. Once we decided to push the “crew button” for service. However no one appeared at all. However even if the services was not as expected the flight was safe and on time.
