Not Verified | This use to be my favorite airline to fly with but that has changed! Customer service is not the same. Southwest in my opinion used to have the best customer service. I have flight refund that expires this year and due to being pregnant I have been told I cannot fly. I reached out to the airline to see if they could extend my refund since it expires in September and was told they will not do that. Southwest just isn’t what it use to be and it’s disappointing.

Not Verified | New Orleans to Richmond via Atlanta. Not very pleased at all. A representative for Southwest during baggage drop directed us to an A list/priority line. After we waited 15 mins, when we were next in line; she redirected us yet again to ANOTHER line that was WAY longer and we barely made our flight from MSY to ATL (#2772) with 5 minutes to spare. We had to literally RUN so we wouldn't miss it. EVERYBODY had boarded ahead of us and the door to the gate was even closed. I'm still flabbergasted by this situation and will definitely keep this horrible experience in my head for future, possible flights with Southwest.

Las Vegas to Denver. I current flew with 3 of my co-workers from Denver to Las Vegas on March 30th. Flight number 486. We were delayed 3 hours due to a mechanical issue with the aircraft. Once onboard the head of the flight crew took the time to have a conversation and lighten the mood. Then the comedic events of the flight staff made for a great flight. Then returned on April 1st. Flight number 876. Again the laughter created by the flight staff made for a great experience.

"Never flying southwest ever again"

Not Verified | I had flown just yesterday. I was early, the line was ridiculous so I sent my 2 daughters to go shopping and stayed with my son. We all ate and come to find out our plane was delayed until 12 so we waited, then our gate changed and was delayed 2 more hours. They boarded us and all my children had to sit alone away from me. My daughter was only 12 and was crying the whole flight. Never flying southwest ever again.

Not Verified | Absolute garbage, not only was the inside of the plane filthy, when we tried to use Southwest again to get home they cancelled the flight and didn’t provide any form of assistance in hotels-motels or even food. Was stuck in the airport all night would never use this airline. I try to be reasonable, but this is insane that there was absolutely no form of assistance given to me and the other 13 people I was with.

✅ Trip Verified | Southwest cancelled my flight prior to the flight about 12 hours and no additional flights were offered. I was asked to contact my agency and they simply did not care. They blamed technical/technology and weather but frontier or spirit airlines are working fully functional for the same route. Terrible company decisions and they just don’t care.

"Customer service has taken a real dive"

Not Verified | Flight (direct) was pushed back and fourth for 5 hours yesterday then cancelled and rebooked for 6:05 today (w/one stop) meaning a long drive back home and getting up in the middle of the night. The extra early bird charge was not refunded and not given back on the new flight. $40 due back. Once in Chicago things were delayed for a couple hours again. Unfortunately my wife and my daughter whom had a soccer game today to play in front of specific college coaches was operating on 3 hours sleep now. They arrived in Phoenix with no time to go to hotel and check in because HERTZ rental car (Zero stars) had a super long line and not enough customer service agents to handle them. Hertz cancelled our original reservation charged triple the price for the rental which was a downgrade, charged for overage hours and charged for insurance and prepaid gas full tank (they wont use) which was all declined. I'll talk with both of these incompetent companies the next couple days. If your traveling do your due diligence and fly the best airline at the best time of the week. Last but not least we cancelled one day at the hotel which ended up cancelling the whole stay leaving us to frantically find another hotel away from her team hotel. Looking at the internet and talking with many people today I believe that people should be cautious and think twice about booking flights with Southwest and Rental Cars with Hertz as many people have had similar experiences just not all at the same time/trip. Frustrated but safe. Customer service has taken a real dive since our last election in this country.

Not Verified | I was a loyal southwest fan for 25 plus years. No more. After this fiasco of them cancelling flights I am done. Offered no hotel voucher no food voucher after waiting 4 hours in a line only to be told what I could have done myself. Offered to book us 4 days later on a flight - 4 days! We cancelled and got refunded and will now use competitor airlines. Let my wife, myself and our 2 kids down. Gone are the fun friendly customer service winning days at Southwest. Avoid them at all costs.

✅ Trip Verified | My wife and paid for a return home tickets months in advance. On April 2, 2022 our flight was rescheduled from 4 pm to 1130 pm. While waiting the long hours we were notified that the 1130 pm flight was canceled with not alternative flight scheduled. We were stuck in the Orlando airport with not means are reason for the cancellation. They have my paid ticket but canceled my flight without any additional information. The flight was initially canceled due to bad weather but as of 745 pm EST the weather is clear. A flight was boarded for Phoenix Arizona, I’m sure Houston Texas is before Arizona. This airline does not care about stranding their customers.
