"seat comfort was the biggest surprise"

Verified Review | Norwegian is not your everyday low cost airline. The ground check-in staff at Barcelona Airport were friendly and helpful. The crew onboard were friendly, efficient and could not be faulted. Seat comfort was the biggest surprise, 2 of our family members were in row 1 with the extra legroom and 2 including myself in row 2 standard seating. The design of the seat gives a better than average pitch. Complimentary inflight wifi for the duration of the flight was excellent with no connectivity issues. The onboard menu had plenty to choose from and reasonably priced. No complaints at all.

"at the price point it excels"

I was quite pleasantly surprised by the experience from Los Angeles to Stockholm with Norwegian. While this is not a typical international business class service at the price point it excels. Positives include use of airport lounges as well as priority check in and luggage allowance. The seat is similar to a domestic first class offering and while not lie flat it is quite comfortable to relax in. Food service is a box but who cares? Entertainment was quite good, the 787 is great and the staff on my flight was great. As long as expectations are not too high,they will be more than met.

"flight delayed from Gatwick"

Verified Review | Flight delayed from Gatwick to Oslo by 3 hours and returning by 2 hours, they didn't keep passengers informed or apologise for the delay. Frustrating especially when travelling with kids. Won't recommend.

"not impressed with the delays"

London Gatwick to Copenhagen return with Norwegian. This was the second time I have flown Norwegian. I have to say I was not impressed with the delays. The first trip last year was pretty poor with about a 30 mins delay each way but the flights I just experienced this week was pathetic. 2hrs 30 mins delay to Copenhagen - the excuse was that after a compulsory break that they had to take, the taxi to the runwat would be late. There were no delays on easyJet that day. Coming back there was a 1 hour delay which caused us to miss our connection with the Gatwick flyer. We had to then do battle with Gatwick Express and London Underground etc at a big cost and time delay (Sunday engineering work). Conclusion - never again with Norwegian, easyJet for me from now on.

"Highly Disappointed"

Verified Review | Highly Disappointed. Delayed flights both trips, poor service and poor information. I usually fly from Heathrow but due to timings I changed to Norwegian through Gatwick and have been extremely disatisfied. Both flights to and from Oslo were delayed with little notice or warning. The times kept getting pushed back by ten minutes with no explanation and there were no staff from the airline to explain why. Once finally on the flight they didn't even offer any refreshments, still asking customers to pay despite having been waiting for hours. I travel to the Nordics frequently on business and I will never fly with this airline again.

"spent the flight hungry"

Verified Review | Flew Oslo to Reykjavik. I have been on Norwegian a couple of times and noticed a few flaws with my flights. Firstly the shoping and menu booklet are only in seats C and F which it makes it sometimes uncomfortable if the people beside you have to use it as well. Secondly they have internet access on the plane which is nice, but I only found it by chance. At first it looked good but I had problems going to other websites becouse I kept getting redirected to their site. Thirdly and finally the service - I usually sleep a lot through the flight but I always wake up at the smell of food. When I woke up and asked the flight attendant for another menu. After studying the menu while waiting for service I started waving at her, that didn't work. She walked by me but of course ignored me, so I spent the rest of the flight hungry and hoping for a miracle.

"surprised by the poor cabin service"

Verified Review | Flew Norwegian from Oslo to Los Angeles. We had looked forward to flying on the Dreamliner for our first time, and specifically re-routed our trip to be able to fly on one. The price of "premium" on Norwegian as opposed to business class on a mainline carrier was about half. Having a seat that reclined enough to sleep in, along with the ability to check two pieces of baggage per person at no extra charge made flying premiun on Norwegian a good financial value. However, that is where our satisfaction with this low-price carrier ended. First of all, we were travelling as a couple, and my partner's seat was broken and would recline, but the leg rest did not extend. He had to prop his feet up on a piece of luggage when the seat was reclined in order to get some sleep. When we notified the cabin crew of this, they shrugged and took the broken foot rest switch from me. There was no attempt on the part of the Norwegian crew to provide any semblance of service to its premium customers. There were no periodic water runs through the cabin on this 10.5 hour flight. One had to find the cabin crew, who were sequestered behind a curtain at the front of the plane for most of the flight to ask for water. Even in economy on a transatlantic flight on United or Lufthansa there are water runs every few hours. The food offerings on Norwegian were poor. The 787-8 that we flew on was a fabulous ride: quiet, spacious, with nice big windows. So no complaints about the aircraft. So all-in-all we were satisfied with the cheap ticket, satisfied with the 787, but surprised by the poor cabin service Norwegian provided to its premium customers. One can only imagine what the economy passengers have to endure.

"some bad and some good"

I flew with Norwegian from LAX to Barcelona and back from Berlin to LAX and it was mostly ok with some bad and some good. On the way to Barcelona we had a layover in London and after we had all boarded they notified us that the wheels had to be replaced, making everyone get off the plane again, carry-on luggage and all. I'm all for safety first, but why not check this kind of thing before making everyone board the plane. That right there was almost an hour wasted. Then another 2 hours for the wheels to be replaced and we didn't get so much as a little bag of free peanuts for the inconvenience. On the flight back, I will say that my carry-on had some excess weight and the lady at the check-in counter was really nice and let me check-in my bag free of charge, which would've otherwise been around 80-100 euros.

"upgraded us to premium class"

Verified Review | Orlando to Gatwick. The check-in staff was very courteous and helpful, even if they forgot to give us our baggage ticket and, as a result, upgraded us to premium class, the flight was very comfortable, and the cabin crew was pleasant. The way back was a different experience. The staff at the check-in counter was nice again, but the flight was a disaster. The snack bar was barely open, we were ignored by the crew, and they didn't provide any free water. On top of all this, the cabin was absolutely freezing. I'm not going to use Norwegian anymore, as I ended up spending more than if I had flown a full-service airline where seat selection, baggage, water, and food are included.

"be using this airline again "

Dubrovnik to Gatwick. First time we have flown with Norwegian, travelling on the 30th April. We had booked low fare+ tickets which included free seat selection and 20kg luggage allowance, once on board we were in emergency exit seats, there was plenty of room to store our hand luggage above in the overhead lockers. We purchased a snack on the plane which was very good, also free wifi. Flight was a little late departing and arriving nothing to worry about. We will be using this airline again and have already booked more flights with them.
