Korean Air

Bangkok - Incheon midday flight business class on 737-800. On this aircraft they use their oldest available business class seats hardly any recline and most uncomfortable. Headset is same as economy no noise cancellation as you get on Thai for example. Will avoid flying Korean at least in business class in the future.

Flew to New York return via Seoul. Flight staff attentive and polite. Level of service excellent and could not help you enough. Food good and several selections. Entertainment choice was good with plenty of variety. Would not hesitate to fly with Korean Air again.

GMP-CJU. Aircraft used was a 737-900. Although it was a domestic flight announcements were made in Korean English and Japanese. Flight attendants also knew some English. Since it was only a 1 hour flight only drinks were served. Flight attendants and Korean Air ground crew were courteous and polite. Will definitely fly with them again.

Sydney to London via Seoul in July 2012. It was the cheapest airline as we were travelling during the London Olympics. The stopover at the Hyatt on the way through was excellent. Travelled with an unsettled 10 month old so didn't even get chance to try out the inflight entertainment but meals were good (choose Korean) and snacks available in between meals. Alcohol limited but expected that. Staff were very polite.

B747-400 (ATL-ICN) and B777-200ER (ICN-KUL). Requested special meal excellent IFE. Less legroom with B747 (what can you expect for economy class) but great cabin on B777. Overall it was good.

I never actually flew with them because the cyclone that hit their main airport led to unavoidable delays which meant I had to use another airline. I am reviewing them however because I believe the way a company deals with problems is a good indicator of the company. The people I dealt with were friendly compassionate and helpful under tough circumstances and the company seamed to be structured to handle issues in a prompt way and with perfect English.

KE 082 from JFK to Seoul was an Airbus A380 on December 6 inflight entertainment is limited. The food portions were small for Economy class. KE 653 from Seoul to Bangkok is on 777-300 again movie selection limited. Hope they can improve their inflight service and add more movie channels to their inflight entertainment system.

Flew NRT-ICN-NRT in economy class. Korean Air was fine. I'm gold with Delta so had access to their lounges in both NRT and ICN and priority immigration in NRT (but not Incheon). They were on time offered a reasonably comfortable seat with enough leg room even for a 6' 2" person like myself had touch IFE with enough options for a short flight and a USB outlet for charging devices. FA were polite and attentive and a hot meal was served on both legs. The food was OK but nothing fancy.

We flew from London to Auckland business class and I was extremely impressed. The first leg to Seoul as in a 777 and we had flat beds that were excellent. On the second leg to Auckland we were in an older 747 and only had seats that went flat but at an angle and were much less comfortable. The food was excellent and the service from the FA's was good. A really pleasant surprise.

MEL-ICN-LHR return with family of 5. All of us are over 6 foot. Leg room was excellent entertainment great. The staff were always willing to help. The food was a choice of Asian and western - typical airline food but the kids didn't complain. Had a stopover in ICN whilst our bags were sent straight on to Heathrow which was great. Overall I would definitely fly with this airline again.
