Korean Air customer review

Flew BNE-ICN-LAX JFK-ICN-BNE in November. This is my second trip with Korean Air this year and I am still very impressed with them. Service provided from the cabin crew is excellent nothing is an issue and always greeted with a smile. Aircraft are always clean tidy and modern. I loved the A380 so spacious the most room I've ever had in economy class! AVOD is great and meals are fine with regular water/juice runs throughout all flights. Korean Air is a consistent airline which I think is very important I will continue to support them as they offer a great product at a great price. I look forward to my flights next year and would highly recommend.

NYC-ICN on A380 ICN-BKK on 747. Upper deck on A380 just doesn't feel special way too large much prefer the feel of Korean Air 777. As usual some problems being understood by the crew but overall good. Bar at front and back totally pointless. Ugly to look at and limited drinks. Not somewhere you really want to sit. Painless 50min transfer at Seoul. 747 older product with old style angled seating but for shorter flight was ok.

Used Korean air's B777-300ER. ICN-SYD. Used Business class comfortable large seats and great crew service. It was really quiet. Lots of food selection to choose from but the steak was a little bit small. Also a large entertainment system.

B747 ICN to AKL Economy cabin is a 3-4-3 layout. Boarding somewhat chaotic at Incheon as flight was very full. Cabin looked a little bit drab and tired when compared to B777-300. Seats not quite as good as newer economy on newer planes in the Korean Fleet. Legroom was excellent. Inflight entertainment was extensive. Where Korean excel is the service received from the cabin crew very efficient and smiling steward was very pleased when I asked to try Korean Beer and provided extra snacks to accompany the beverage. Overall the experience was very good Western airlines should take a real good look at themselves Korean Air will be getting my business again.

10/17/2013 flight 94 and flight 667. 10/24/2013 flight 668 and flight 93. A great trip except for the seats. Probably wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't such a long flight. But other than this it was very good. I can't say enough good things about the flight attendants. They were excellent always smiling and very attentive. I would gladly recommend.

Korean Air are fairly good except the fact it does not have any good frequent flyer program. One of the most aggravating facts is that their upgrade policy is very simple - no upgrades. The only way to be eligible for upgrade is if you buy a full fare economy ticket. And then you need to redeem 80000 to 120000 points (8 to 12 roundtrip transatlantic flights). Furthermore even if the business class is empty and the economy class is fully booked no upgrade none whatsoever (doesn't matter if you bought a full fare ticket). I fly with Korean Air around more than 10 times a year (long distance - 12hr one way) one can't deny the fact that Korean's fly relatively new aircraft the staff is polite and helpful etc. Yet when one travel as often as I do one would expect more in particular if you show such a loyalty.

I'm in the First Class Lounge in Hong Kong if you can call this a Lounge. it's a small room with a few very uncomfortable couches and there is no lounge toilet. If you need to use the Toilet you have to use the Public Toilet. I'm paying for a first class ticket I arrived for the flight 2 hours and wanted to unwind in the First Class Lounge and I have nothing to look at.

KE925 from ICN to AMS with A330-200. Fairly new interior with floor heating big personal screen with best interface that I've ever seen so far. Seating was also very good (34G) big legroom although my headrest could not be adjusted to my long height. We had no delay and the personnel were very friendly. Yet the food served was not good as flight attendants and PES unfortunately. The meat was dry as well as cod fish that was served later in the flight.

Flew from LA to Tianjin and return from Singapore to LA. The economy seats are the hardest of any I have ever flown and made it impossible to get comfortable on 11 plus hour flight. The food was not very good and best left uneaten. The stewardesses seemed like women out of Stepford Wives. All very pretty young and accommodating but not real.

Often fly KE 036 from ATL-INC then KE623 to NRT Manila. I must say I have been impressed with Korean Air. Their prices on business class have been almost half of Delta's. My most recent flight was on their new Airbus A380 service. The seats are the same as Prestige class on the 777ER but there is an added storage compartment next to the seat that can hold your laptop and pillow and blankets. The food and staff on Korean are excellent. Prestige class is the entire upper deck of the A380. There are lounges at the rear and front of the upper deck. The forward lounge has assorted vodkas and martini mixes and is self-serve. At the rear of the plane is another larger lounge with an attendant serving as bartender with a larger selection of drinks. Probably my only cons are the pillows and blankets are more comfortable on other international carriers I have flown. Also I now take extra bottled water on the plane with me and use the large storage compartment of the A380. They tend to be stingy with the water. Tiny glasses and it is impossible to get them to fill them more than half way. It is the same with the wine. But it is better than getting dehydrated on those long 21 hour journeys.
