KE704 NRT-ICN Biz Prestige class. KAL lounge at the NRT was nice looking at the entrance. Inside was barren. Almost nothing to eat but some rice cakes and cookies and drinks. It would be better to use Delta lounge instead. In flight the seats were comfortable. Food was limited to Korean beef Bibimbap or baked fish.

KE 703 ICN-NRT Biz Prestige class. KE Prestige lounge at the ICN was good with plenty of food. The seat in Biz was rather old recliner. Very limited food served on board. Only brunch either Korean bland noodle soup with 3 thin beef-sliced or omelette. Korean food takers were not allowed to have bread. Landed with a hungry stomach. No in-flight entertainment.

KE 654 BKK-ICN Biz Prestige Class. Seat was nice and very comfortable. The Biz class was limited to only few passengers. Nice FAs . Very limited food selection for Biz class. Only 2 shrimp sticks once on board and a breakfast prior to landing. One passenger asked for extra shrimp sticks but the answer was no. This is a very savvy Biz food service I have ever seen. Korean breakfast was a bland congee and not allowed to have bread.

KE 8659 ICN-BKK Biz Prestige Class. Comfortable seats. Interior design of the biz and first class was simple and looked cold. First class was empty. Toilet was stocked with only basic items like toothbrush etc but none of the luxurious items (no face mist no cologne). No amenity bag . Only one pair of slippers. Food was limited only Korean beef bibimbub or a beef steak. Would not be a good place for a non-beef-eater. Fruit came without cheese and crackers. Surprised by the very limit food choices and quantity in the KE Biz class. Nice FAs but did not really return to fill drinks.

Trip from Incheon to Atlanta was a pretty decent one. What do you expect from economy? Their customer service was nice. Most flight attendants gave what I requested. (Basically hot water and ramen were my requests). You can get woken up for meal service but there are stickers you can put on the seat in front of you to let them know whether or not you want them to interrupt your sleep. The seats are comfortable once you adjust to it and put a pillow on you. You can't seem to always adjust your seat to your will in economy. The in-flight entertainment had some good movies but not as much and not as diverse. You could only find like a few and that's it. The food is edible and nothing really significant. Overall I would recommend this if you want save a couple cash and sleep for most of the flight.

Flight KE124 departing Brisbane on Dec 15th 2013 and returned on KE123 departing Incheon on 9th Feb 2014. Korean Air offers the only service direct BNE-ICN. I found their flight OK in economy but as I am on the larger size I found the economy seats a little tight which is probably due to my size rather than the airline. In December 2013 I travelled Business Class and was impressed with the aircraft seating and inflight service. I will always travel Korean Air and will recommend.

ICN-ULN round-trip for Lunar New Year. Surprisingly these flights were both 90% full and with their updated economy seating. They even had AVOD 3 the newest of the entertainment systems. Extremely clean brightly lit plane as always. For the first time in years of flying KE I finally felt the infamous hot cabin temperature. I called for an attendant who promptly said she would check on it and brought me a glass of ice water and then came back again to let me know she fixed it. I also witnessed a passenger get upset about a 20 minute delay at the gate and they brought the purser over. She kneeled down listened and smiled. The food was even a little different from the usual offering (different things came with noodles this time). Another quality experience with KE.

Flew Business Class from ATL-ICN on A-380. Would not recommend any seats in forward business cabin area due to galley noise. Select a mid cabin seat. The staff are overly attentive to such an extent that they woke the entire plane at 3am to serve us dinner. It is the middle of the night and we still had 4 hours left of the flight. The food was passable at best. Bars at forward and rear of the aircraft were a waste of space and only an ad for Absolute. You need to bring your own noise cancelling head phones or turn the music up which is what I did. I would not recommend this airline.

NRT-HNL-NRT in business class. The problem with this flight is the age of the plane. It's a 747-400 and hasn't been renovated to their newest seats. The result is a very uncomfortable ride. Even in upright position it's shallow and hard. Recline mode is only a varying degree of slide. It's a shame because their new flat seats are not bad! The service and food were wonderful. Flying over I wanted to sleep and I requested not to eat the first meal. The FA suggested she save my meal for my arrival meal as it was the larger of the two. A brilliant idea and very thoughtful! On the return the menu consisted of beef pork and beef choices. I don't eat meat and the FA made me a vegetarian bibimbap which was delicious! The entertainment is limited and also not their best offering due to the old aircraft. I like Korean Airlines and would certainly fly them again on this route if the aircraft is updated.

SGN-IAD June 2013: A very pleasant flight on all four legs. Clean shiny A330 on SGN-ICN legs. Equally sparkling 777-200ER ICN-IAD and back. Terrific crew on the ground and in the air good food and a very nice red Cotes du Rhone in the air. ICN remains a delightful airport. There are less expensive ways to make this trip but none more pleasurable.
