"service is getting worse"

(Philippines)

Emirates used to be 10/10 airline but as they secure more routes the service is getting worse. They are often late these days and I now leave at least a 4 hour gap to make sure I make the next flight in Dubai. For the latest flight from Manila to Dubai they forgot that there is heavy traffic on a Friday night and the crew arrived over 2 hours late - if all the passengers can get to the Airport on time then why can't the crew? What is so bad is that the ground staff lied about the situation when they told the economy passengers the aircraft needed more cleaning, but told the business class passengers the truth. There is no doubt that Emirates is undergoing a decline in service.

"Dubai T3 is the worst part"

(United Kingdom)

I was able to choose my seats for all four sectors on the round trip. I'm not a big man, so economy seating rarely presents me with a problem, and for me the available legroom was fine regardless of aircraft type. The A380 was a cut above the others in terms of comfort and quietness though, but the service was a little wooden and certainly slow, but the food was not bad at all. Service was slightly better on the DXB-SGN return legs, food reasonable but nothing to write home about. One thing I wish Emirates would move away from is the overcrowded serving tray or at least change the shape of it! A square tray balanced on a rectangular seat table is not a great fit. Entertainment was good, except for the Boeing 777 leg (limited choices and poor picture quality), so slept, read, listened to music on that one. Certainly not the greatest service onboard but adequate; nothing that would stop me flying with them again, certainly for the value for money I get, and the convenience (from my perspective at least) of the flight times. Dubai T3 is another story altogether though; I've flown this route a few times now and it remains the worst part of the journey for me. It's not the two to three hour stop-over, I quite welcome the chance to get out, stretch, wash and change clothes, but the building itself - I find it poorly signposted, and just so busy and bustling I struggle to relax there. Would certainly use them again.

"I cannot fault"

(New Zealand)

Melbourne to Auckland on Emirates A380, pure luxury in every shape way and form. The flight was delayed on the way in, and the staff on the ground could have handled that better. But the fight, crew and facilities etc, I cannot fault in any shape way or form.

"cabin crew is friendly"

(Philippines)

Barcelona to Manila via Dubai with Emirates. The seat and legroom seems bigger compared to the Emirates Boeing 777-300. The inflight entertainment has a wide array of options (movies and tv series), cabin crew is friendly and helpful. They would not mind giving something extra for the kids after the cabin service. They also have toys and coloring books to keep them occupied.

"sitting in a cramped position"

(Switzerland)

Geneva to Singapore via Dubai, and Emirates was a cheaper option for this flight and seemed more convinient in terms of stop over time and departure/arrival times. Not only the price was cheap, meals served onboard were poor quality. The outbound flight from Dubai to Singapore was a nightmare, the plane was completely full and seating very bad, very little room. Tried to forget about the inconvenience by watching (ridiculously censored) films, but arrived exhausted from sitting in a cramped position for many hours. Staff seemed more interested in chatting to each other than attending to passengers, although they were not directly unfriendly.

"best airline I have flown"

(United Kingdom)

Absolutely no complaints with any of the Emirates flights - Glasgow to Dubai, then a 2.5 hour stop, and onto Auckland via Melbourne. Cabin Crew were friendly, helpful and professional, with soft drinks and water offered frequently throughout all the flights. Meals were hot, with a choice of 2 main courses for dinner, and breakfast, and snacks were offered in between times too - actually this was unnecessary, as I had too much to eat. The seats could be more spacious and comfortable, but in Economy, this is never going to happen - you get what you pay for. Emirates are the best airline I have ever flown with, and live up to the praise and expectations which I had for them, prior to reading awful reviews.

"Thank you Emirates"

(Australia)

Personally escorted to my Seat 9A by a Vietnamese female flight attendant. I was told I would be looked after by this Cabin attedent throughout my flight and I most certainly was. As I has enjoyed a great breakfast in the Emirates lounge prior to my departure I only had the lite continental breakfast which was pleasant. I have a disability and as my seat was closer to the pointy end of the A380 when I went to use the bathroom I was quietly told I may use the First class facility as First class was empty. Just before landing in Auckland the attendant who had looked after me came and said goodbye then placed a Godiva chocolate with a small hand written note to enjoy my onward travels. Such a personal and special gesture. On arrival a wheelchair awaited me at the aircraft door and 40 min later I was thru customs and on my way to my domestic connection. Thank you Emirates.

"disappointing flight"

(United Kingdom)

The breakfast was an inedible cheese selection alongside cold slices of apple, so by the time lunch arrived I was ready for it. However there was turbulence which the pilot deemed bad enough to warrant asking the cabin crew to return to their seats a total of five times during lunch service! So when lunch was eventually served, it was cold, tough and as inedible as breakfast. Overall a really disappointing flight from a usually top class airline.

"Emirates A380 has excellent suites"

(United Kingdom)

Sydney to Manchester via Dubai with Emirates. Chauffeur, included in the price, picked us up on time and following check in we settled in the lounge to await our flight. Flight left on time and arrived Dubai early. Emirates A380 has excellent suites in first with 23" TV, privacy door which make your space entirely private and very comfortable seat. Following takeoff, watched a movie, got the seat into bed position with mattress and duvet, closed the doors and slept. Woke after 6 hours, ordered food and about two hours from Dubai used one of the two showers. Onward flight to Manchester, again A380, was the same and using the shower meant we arrived fresh. Chauffeur drive again home.

"seats very cramped 3x4x3"

(Australia)

Departure from Singapore was on time. Good service by the crew very attentive. Loved the hot towels and the welcome drinks. Food was delicious but very small portions. Seats are very cramped 3x4x3 in a Boeing 777-300er. I asked for an eye shade and a mask and the flight attendant got it straight away, and spoke to me in Lebanese that I loved. I'd definitely fly with them again. Wish Emirates had a service out of Sydney with a stop in Singapore to connect EK 349.
