Cebu to HK (CX926) check in was fast and friendly clean newest aircraft seat comfortable no champagne food was exactly the same as economy class quite disappointed really. In my humble opinion it just not worth flying premium class for a two hour trip. HK to London (CX255) quite disappointed compare to my excellent flight to HK The seats was a little worn and hard the cabin had a lot of scruff marks one hot towel before dinner and one hot towel before breakfast dinner was good breakfast wasn't. Hardly saw any cabin crew between dinner and breakfast. I really do feel they need to make the premium class a little bit special small touches such as proper cups for tea or coffee proper glass and not plastic cup for drinks armchair style seats perhaps in leather would be nicer the TV was awkward to raise (seat 30G) dinner tray was a tad too small charging point for mobile phone was awkward. Flying again next month in business class.

JFK-HKG-CMB-HKG-JFK B777-300ER and A330-300 JFK-HKG in First and the three other flight segments in Business Class. One World Mileage Redemption Award through AA. JFK check-in was excellent and CX uses the BA First Class Lounge that has room for improvement to be more like LHR T5. Boarding was not well organized but First Class on board was outstanding as always though the menu selections aren't quite as good as a few years ago. The wines and other beverage choices were excellent. Hong Kong's CX Wing First Class Lounge was excellent and their Cabanas are great for rest and showering/bathing. The non-stop flight from HKG to CMB had the new Business Class seats while the flight back from CMB to HKG had Regional Business Class seats due to a one hour stop in BKK therefore not considered long haul. The new Business Class seat (was also on the plane from HKG-JFK) is very well designed with much storage space though the cushion is not the softest and there is an awkward angled step in the foot well floor just in front of the footrest. Meal service was good and the staff was efficient while most were friendly and helpful. All the planes were clean and the toilets were maintained well throughout the flights. I used the UL Serendib Lounge in CMB due to my OW Emerald Tier status knowing that the Araliya Lounge used by most airlines is very average. Luggage transferred without any problems and was delivered promptly. JFK Immigration and Customs staff was efficient and polite. Will definitely use CX again as I have regularly since 2008.

CX731 HKG-DXB Business Class. I had booked a one way ticket in Premium Economy using the last of my Asiamiles which were expiring soon. I have been a CX Marco Polo club member since inception and flew business and first regularly when I was based in Hong Kong several years ago. But being based in Dubai for the past few years I had not flown CX in a long while. To my delight and surprise when I checked in at the airport in HKG the check-in agent gave me a business class boarding card. I was surprised because my ticket was not a full revenue ticket and had been purchased with miles. This is what sets CX apart from the rest. Unlike other airlines including one prominent one from SE Asia CX remembers your loyalty even from way back in the past and rewards passengers like myself. This has happened to me several times when I was based in HKG but to do this to a formerly loyal passenger on a non-revenue ticket simply took my breath away. Needless to say the service and food were flawless and I greatly enjoyed my trip. Thank you CX! I will always remember this.

Business Class Sydney-Hong Kong-Paris: Zurich-Hong Kong-Sydney. The overall experience was faultless. The seating arrangement was equal or better than other first class offerings we have experienced. It was 1-2-1 seating arrangement and my wife and I each chose a window seat as it offered maximum privacy. Every imaginable position was comfortable be it sitting sleeping or anywhere in between. Storage compartments for every feasible object positioned conveniently all around. Plenty of good lighting options for whatever you choose to do. Cabin crew service was attentive friendly and professional. Food and drinks all of a high standard with any little extra requirement taken care of if at all possible.

20 April 2015 CX252 and 21st April CX921. LHR to HKG to Cebu. I had a good deal with my Premium Economy and Business class ticket however this was the best so far staff were exceptionally good this time making sure we were well supplied with drinks and snacks etc. The entertainment was excellent. Food is pretty good too. Business Class from HKG to Cebu is excellent as my many previous reviews.

Having flown the very long haul JFK-HKG flight (15 hours) with the newer reclining seats and the older shell seats on short HKG-MNL flight (2 hours) the newer reclining seats are uncomfortable and have no privacy. The shell design seats were more comfortable between the two. The newer seat design reclines six inches right onto your knees if you are an average sized person. So much so I had to notify the flight attendant to instruct the person sitting in front of me not to recline fully because I literally could not move. This is inexcusable. The seat pad is so thin the underside of my legs began to ache in an hour with a genuinely painful posterior another hour later. There is little privacy with these seats because the seatback tops are small and have space gaps between them that put the AV screen in the next row in your line of sight. It is even worse when the person in front reclines. The miniature storage caddy below the AV screen is handy for storing glasses small documents etc though it protrudes a bit too much into the personal space in front of the seat. All-in-all these seats were poorly designed and tested and very uncomfortable for long haul flights. The recline needs to be reduced to 3 inches more and better padding is needed for the seat cushions and adjustments needs to be made to reduce the protrusion of the seatback in front of you into your personal space. The storage caddy sticks out too far the seatback pocket area as well. The rails that attach the seat to the plane on the floor are not positioned for seat comfort either. The fixed shell seats HKG-MNL were more comfortable because of the pseudo leather material covering them. Also the top of the seat was fuller giving one more privacy from the AV screens and passengers sitting in the next row. It seemed like they had an extra inch of pitch compared to the newer reclining seats but that may be just because of the limited simpler seatback design (no storage caddy). Food all the way through was average to below average. A fifteen hour flight ought to have three meals rather than the two they served. In the many hours in between meals there were few snacks and they disappeared quickly and were not replenished. The snacks were highly salty such as the heavily blanched peanuts. Several bags of them almost made you dehydrate. They did not taste right. I made the mistake of ordering a kosher meal on one segment and it was very bland and had stiff tasteless crackers. The one that had salmon had been pilfered so they returned it for a regular meal. The seatback AVOD needs to have more classic movie selections documentaries etc. It is also too difficult to navigate the AVOD screen and one often has to press the touch screen several times to get a button to take. Service on the flights was above average. The flight attendants and pilot crew were professional efficient and pleasant. While they were very busy the flight attendants were responsive as they could be in such a busy atmosphere. The gate agents were pleasant attentive to detail and efficient. All the CX we encountered were above average in their professionalism and service. If it were not for very uncomfortable seats and their lack of privacy and the below average food and inadequate snacks the service would lift the experience to 4 of 5 stars. CX needs to customer test the seats and food and improve them to be a four or five star experience.

London to HKG 10th April 2015 CX254 then HKG to Sydney 12th April CX161. Returned on 17th April 15 on CX110 and CX253 respectively. I enjoyed the attention from the airline crew both at check in and inflight the inflight service was great with a good choice of meals and drinks. The seating position was good the flat bed was ok may be not the best but good enough. You have loads of storage space and the headphones do work and are of premium standard.

Premium economy service downgraded. I have been a regular customer on Cathay Pacific's premium economy between Perth and Hong Kong and I have been very happy with the service until now. On my last flight Perth to Hong Kong instead of the usual hot or cold breakfast options we were given a box containing a pastry fruit salad in a tiny dish and a chocolate bar The same meal was served to economy passengers. when I asked the flight attendant where was the hot food I was informed that there had been a change to the service. Downgrade more like it. I asked for a glass of Champagne and that was served in a plastic cup. On the return sector Perth to Hong Kong we were given a hot lunch which was quite good and then around 9pm they came down with a box containing the worlds smallest chicken roll some fruit salad in a tiny plastic container and a chocolate bar. Cathay Pacific is a premium airline this food is not fit for economy let alone premium economy. They seem to have downgraded the service but not discounted the price of the ticket. I will be flying back to Hong Kong next week it will be interesting to see if they have lifted the standard of meals back to what it once was.

MAN-BNE via Hong Kong 777 300ER on the first leg and A330 on the second leg. I've flown to Australia 3 times now my experience with Cathay was ok I'm 6"1 the seats were comfy the leg room was ok. I like the 3-3-3 config which makes a huge difference. Meals were nice IFE was good. Snacks were just crisps nuts and apples. I would fly Cathay again if the price was right.
