Business CX250 London to HK 11 May 2015. Check in at London a breeze. Off to the lounge and a 15 minute walk to the gate. Not complaining as about to sit for 13 hours. Once on board had seats 17K and 18K. The service was excellent and the meals and wine selection was also excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The inflight entertainment was up to date with the latest movies. Once dinner was over and a few movies it was time to try out their beds. Would not say they are the most comfortable lay flat beds that I have tried but still comfortable enough to grab a few hours sleep. Next morning breakfast was another excellent affair. We were transiting through HK so no baggage to pick up so off to the Wings Club for 6 hours. Overall very happy with the CX experience.

Very disappointed. The food was terrible staff didn't remove trays. Toilet on one leg at the front of the cabin had to climb over the four front passengers to get to it. On the other leg toilet shared with economy. The only difference to economy is 8 seats across as opposed to 9 in economy. Not a match on Qantas and not worth the money. Would never fly Cathay Pacific again.

Travelled BOM-HKG-PVG and return last week and had a good experience. Food was good and so was the inflight entertainment. Their sister company Dragonair which operated the HKG to PVG leg of the journey was also good especially compared to other Chinese airlines such as China Eastern/Air China which I had used in the past. PVG airport is notorious for flight delays - I happened to reach the airport about 2.5 hours before my scheduled departure. My flight was supposedly going to be delayed & the check in lady offered me an earlier flight if I was ok. I did so gladly and I think that it saved me from missing the connection from HKG. 5 stars to that.

I travelled business class LHR-HKG-SYD on 29/4/15 and returned SYD-HKG-MAN on 11/5/15. Fantastic lie flat bed onboard the 777-300ER and indeed the A330 sector I was on from SYD up to HKG. Cabin crew were efficient and helpful at all times. Food and service were excellent.

Flew premium economy from Melbourne to Hong Kong great seat right in the front of premium economy the seat was just right for my shorter stature. Service was good just right and the hostesses were lovely. No toilet in the premium cabin but did not worry me as a walk stretched the legs. Also flew Hong Kong to Paris and everything was great again different plane which had toilet but I thought this cabin was a little more crowded it was a larger cabin. A few interesting people seated around us but the airline can not help that.

HKG-EWR on frequent flyer ticket. Cathay business layout good for solo travellers and a lie-flat seat I could sleep in. Entertainment was heavy on middle of the road stuff. Good amenity kit. Staff professional although not personal. The main criticism is food. The heating of all elements in a single serving dish is not up with best practice and the results on all meals was mediocre quality. Qantas wins on food hands down.

Just completed an open jaw YVR-HKG-MNL-HKG-LAX combination of Economy and Business Class. I have become very familiar with Cathay's hard products already so I am more keen on the service aspect. Flying out of YVR on CX837 crew were primarily Vancouver-based. Service was top-notch as what one would expect from the World's Best Airline. It is true that the cabin crew were not so visible at the cabin after meal times but press the call button and crew very eager to help will be on your side in a few seconds. Nothing is too much trouble for them even given the most demanding set of passengers-just absolutely polished service. All this applies to all of the sectors I have flown. Only comment probably will be the food-the serving are soo small in Y thanks to the endless bags of chips nuts fruits and chocolate bars in the galley I was able to survive the 13-hour trek across the Pacific Ocean. Overall Cathay is Cathay - the World's best and they continue to deliver these kinds of products and services other airlines can't match.

From Chicago to Hong Kong - the airlines bumped me to Business Class which was great. Hong Kong to Perth sat in purchased premium economy awful! Service was worse than any economy flight I've flown! Meat was so tough I had to shred it and attendants never came by to provide drinks during meal so I had the half cup of warm water! They served 1/2 cup of coffee well after the meal and never returned to offer more cups were still at my seat when the next meal was served! The flight was not full so economy passengers were stretched out to sleep by putting up arm rests which cannot be done in premium economy due to trays being stored in the arm rests. Seats are difficult to push back for anyone not weighing much such as me! So either pay for business class or settle for economy! Staff never strolled through cabin to see if anyone needed anything.

Brisbane to Shanghai via Hong Kong. Could not fault the service and comfort on this trip. Have travelled before with this airline and have never had any problems.

Hong Kong-Rome 2 weeks ago then Zurich-Hong Kong yesterday both on brand new B77W and delayed 1hr each. I fly with CX quite often for long-haul journey only because 1-good safety record 2-low or reasonable fare. Fully understand that I shouldn't expect anything good for other service since it's economy class that's why I bring my own food every time (CX is cutting cost so hard to reduce the food quality and quantity) seat is uncomfortable and no service from cabin crew except the dinner/light breakfast time. AVOD is very good.
