AirTran Airways Passenger Seat Tip
: 15th October 2007
Boeing 717
From an Airtran customer service crew member. Our planes have 31 rows. Any of the business
class seats are great. You can't beat the bulkhead row which is row 10. Extra legroom.
Emergency exits are popular. Rows 21 / 22 - row 21 does not recline. You still get generous
legroom! Row 20 in front of the exits does not recline. If you prefer a row in the back, I
recommend row 26. Five rows in from the aft portion of the cabin but still has great window
views. On our 717's and few remaining DC-9's, there is no "B" seat. Configuration is as
follows. A/C port side of aircraft. (2 seats aisle and window) Other side are lettered
D/E/and F. Unless you are over 6', you can't go wrong in any row accept the last row, row
31!
