Use this section to find the best airline seat for your next flight with Singapore Airlines. All recommendations and suggestions are provided by your fellow passengers (not the airline!) .... so hopefully you will be able to benefit from their recent air travel experiences with SIA Singapore Airlines.

SIA Singapore Airlines Passenger Seat Tip : 6th July 2008

Economy Class : Boeing 777-200 (2-class configuration)

I would recommend row 31 as it is at the front of the economy cabin and it is also adjacent to the exit (which gives ample legroom). The configuration is 2-3-2, therefore the window seats are ideal if travelling with a partner. Yes, the toilets are right in front of you, but the SQ FA's frequently spray sweet-smelling air freshener.

SIA Singapore Airlines Passenger Seat Tip : 23 October 2007

Business Class : B777-300ER

Seats 11A/11K/14A/14K have extra legroom and sleeping position can be full straight (ie not "skewed"). Rows 11 and 12 are in a "mini cabin" separated by gallery to the rest of Business Class.

SIA Singapore Airlines Passenger Seat Tip : 16 September 2007

Business Class : B777-300ER

Try to get any window seat (A or K) in that this cabin is a 1-2-1 configuration. Best-case, opt for those seats in rows 11 or 12, in that these two rows occupy a mini-cabin away from most business class and directly behind first. A bit more quiet and a more exclusive feel.

SIA Singapore Airlines Passenger Seat Tip : 11 April 2007

Executive Economy Class : A340-500

31 (whole rows) and 34 (Whole rows) In these row, you do not have people seating in the front of you,so you will have more legrooms. Keep in mind SQ is using these type for 18 hours flight (SIN- EWR) so you will need all the extra comforts you can get.

Economy Class : Boeing 777-200

Row 31 is a bassinet row and has extra leg room. However, you run the risk of sitting near babies.

Row 51 is the emergency exit row on this aircraft. If you are unable to obtain the above seats, seats 52C and 52H do not have seats in front of them, hence have extra leg room.

If you would like to sit with just one other person, the two-seaters are 63AC, 63HK, 64AC and 64HK.

Raffles Class : Boeing 747-400

Seats 17A or 17K. These are both window seats, exit row of the Upper Deck. Lots of storage space on the side. Best leg space. Upper deck is much quieter than main deck.

SIA Singapore Airlines Passenger Seat Tip

Raffles Class : A340

Seats: 11D and 11F. Best Leg Space in Raffles Class and occupants of both seats can get out without disturbing either.

Economy Class : B777-200ER

Avoid Row 36 and 41 No window for those two rows, best seating row are 31 and 48 but 48 has smaller legroom than 31 because 48 has toilets in front. Row 47A/K, 58A/K and 59A/K only have two seats on the window seat and plenty of storage space between the seats and the window.

Economy Class : Boeing 747-400

Seats BC and JK - row 49. It's the exit seat near the galley but there's no toilet and the SQ staff is very quiet so you won't be disturbed. Lots of leg space and you have your personal screen even more adjustable to your needs as it is not in the seat in front of you but attached to your own seat.
