Use this section to find the best airline seat for your next flight with
Aer Lingus. All recommendations and suggestions are provided by your fellow passengers (not the airline!) .... so hopefully you will be able
to benefit from their recent air travel experiences with Aer Lingus.
Aer Lingus Passenger Seat Tip : 12th February 2007
AIRBUS A320 - Economy Class
Row 13 is the rearmost emergency exit row, and therefore has extra pitch and full recline.
If you value space over early trolley service, go for this row. Avoid Row 12 as although there is
extra space, there is no recline. Also to be avoided is row 28(the last row of economy) as this also has limited recline. Passengers
would not normally be placed in this row unless the flight was very full, but flights to LHR are
usually quite heavily booked. Check-In online for best seat availability.
Aer Lingus Passenger Seat Tip : 5th February 2007
AIRBUS A330 - Economy Class
Best seats are those between Row 9 and 12 - where the cabin creates a cosier environment
as it is directly behind the Premier cabin, and is served first. Alternatively rows 12 and 31 are
best for emergency exits.
Aer Lingus Passenger Seat Tip : 1st February 2007
AIRBUS A320 - Economy Class
When booking on-line, Aer Lingus offer a seat selection facility. I have noticed that rows 1 - 3 are
rarely available at this point. (I like forward seats for ease of boarding and a quick exit!)
Additionally the forward rows are first for trolley service.
However, when checking in on line, a seat change facility is offered at which stage rows 1-3 are
usually available. As Aer Lingus no longer operates short haul business class, this suggestion is really only for those
who value swift entry and exit, but if one is tied to a schedule, those few minutes can make a lot
of difference.
