Air France Passenger Seat Tip  : 30 November 2010

Economy Class : Airbus A380-800

Seat 89A. There is no seat behind so you're not bothered by any passengers behind you and the location of the toilets and galley are just the right distance away. It's on the Upper Deck and the cabin is smaller than the main economy cabin "downstairs" thereby getting quicker cabin service. This cabin also has a 2x4x2 configuration instead of the downstairs 3x4x3.

Business Class : Boeing 747-400

Do not take row five in the middle section. It's right in front of the lavatories and turns into a Grand Central Station type scenario. When reserving seats with Air France insist that they reserve "HK" otherwise they tend to reserve them "HN" which means the seats are held but not confirmed (totally illogical, I know). If you get seats that are "HK" this means they are held and confirmed. I had booked row one for my family (didn't know I had to request HK booking) and showed up at the airport to discover that we were in row five, in the middle. It was an awful flight.

Business Class : Airbus A340

7A or 7k. A little mini cabin 2x2x2 with so much leg room. Travelled CDG/JNB/CDG. Seats not fully reclinable but still very comfortable.

Air France Passenger Seat Tip  : 29 January 2007

Economy Class Boeing 747-400

The upper deck of the 747 is economy (tempo) class. The seats are roomier and this cabin has individual screens - unlike downstairs. You can check in online for these seats rows 60-69.

Economy Class A330-200 Tempo Cabin

Row 20 D or G. There are only 3 seats across in the row in front. These are aisle seats and have much
more leg room. Also row 38 seats D or F. In this row there are only 3 across. Due to being in rear of the
cabin, the aisles curve in a bit. The row in front has 4 seats. So there is more legroom for 38 D/F.

Seats on emergency exits (lot of space): 25K/L, 26L (best one on the left wing) ; 25A/25B, 26A (best one
on the right wing) ; 40B/ 40C.

Rows: 23 ABC/EFG/JKL - 35 ABC/JKL - 36 EF

Business Class Aircraft : Boeing 777-200

I recommend the front part of the business class cabin: rows 4-5-6 (21 seats). That section is smaller
therefore more intimate. The other section in Business rows 7 to 11 is bigger.

First Class Aircraft : Boeing 777

Take Row 2 because more room and storage. Row 1 has less room because closer to the wall - almost no
storage in front of you and narrow for your feet. Noisy sometimes from kitchen and light shining into
cabin.
