Flight Review of Thai Airways Economy Class : Singapore to Osaka |
Flight Review of Thai Airways Economy Class : Singapore to Osaka
DEPARTURE SERVICE
The service at Changi Airport and Kansai International Airport were better than the one in
Bangkok. They were more friendly and approachable.
CABIN APPEARANCE
The cladding of the seats has a touch of Thai design elements, the warm lighting and colours
creates a rather cosy atmosphere.
SEATING COMFORT
There is sufficient leg room and the seats were comfortable.
ONBOARD CATERING
There are the standard two choices and they served the special meals first before serving the
rest. A preview of the food they served - From Singapore to Bangkok Lunch (TG 0414), we had
Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Potato Salad, Bread and Longan Jelly. From Bangkok to Osaka TG
0622, we have the choice of either a Japanese Breakfast or Western Breakfast. The Japanese
breakfast consist of Richeese Yogurt, Porridge, Fruit Salad, Bread and Green Tea. Overall, I
am satisfied by the food, I thought the croissants in particular were really nice.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
The downside of the flights on Thai Airways is the lack of an Individual In-Flight
Entertainment System on most flights. For the entire journey, I only encountered a in-flight
entertainment system on my flight back to Singapore from Bangkok. Even then the choices of
films and music etc was limited.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
I only remember one incident where there was miscommunication during meal time but it was a
minor issue. The cabin staff in general were friendly, efficient and polite.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Things went smoothly.
CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT
For the price, I am very satisfied with the flight despite the lack of in-flight
entertainment. With the I-Pads, Lap-tops, Iphones or a simple sketchbook or a nap, one can
easily fight boredom on the plane.
