Kingfisher Airlines Business Class Flight Review Delhi to London
DEPARTURE SERVICE
The swanky terminal at Delhi wears a new look. Valets for business class passengers assisted
with the check-in procedures, which were efficient. I was re-assigned a window seat with no
guest seated next to me. This was a thoughtful gesture by the check-in staff. Lounge for the
business class passengers is a cordoned off peaceful section within a cafe. The service by the
cafe staff was attentive and the food was good. Smaller trolleys assist you with your hand
carry. Valets also help you with carrying your hand luggage to the aircraft.
CABIN APPEARANCE
The cabin was very clean. The A330 seemed very new. There is a great bar placed between the
two business class sections and allows you to walk around and sit comfortably in the bar
lounge. The washrooms were clean and well maintained and stocked through out the flight. An
amenity kit is handed out on request and so are pyjamas. A menu each for beverages and food
was handed. Slippers, noise cancelling Bose headphones and eyepads were also given out.
SEATING COMFORT
The front section of the business class (Kingfisher First) cabin has only two
rows with a 2x2x2 configuration and the rows in this section are not aligned to
each other as in the second cabin. The seats in the front section provide you
with more privacy. The seat is outstanding, providing superlative levels of
comfort, reclining positions, massage functions, suite functions, DND signages,
etc. The seat becomes a full flat bed which is extremely comfortable in width
and length. The cabin crew make the bed for you laying a mattress over the seat
with a cushy pillow and a great blanket. The inseat video screen was very well
located in a fixed position. However there was lack of storage space in the
seat.
ONBOARD CATERING
Dom Perignon is offered upon boarding along with dry fruits. Alcohol was topped up liberally.
The wine list was impressive. The meals can be chosen from a menu and the vegetarian Shahi
Thali served on silverware was spectacular in taste. Meals were served in trays and not
restaurant style dining offered by other five star airlines. While I was watching movies, the
stewardess came to give out some fresh popcorn which was great! Before landing, a snack was
served which was very good. Dine on demand was limited.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Surprisingly Kingfisher Airlines had a good but not superlative selection of movies and recent
ones as well. The flight information details were also not in sync with the flight timings.
The Bose headphones and service of popcorn and endless drinks were a delight though.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
The service by cabin staff was outstanding. They were very friendly, warm and genuine. The
thoughtfulness of the senior pursuer is worthy of mention. The presence of staff throughout
the flight was maintained.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Fast track immigration was available on deplaning to business class guests. The bags were at
the carousel with priority tags.
CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT
Five star business class comfort with a superb seat.
