Delta Air Lines Economy Class Flight Review Atlanta to Dubai return
DEPARTURE SERVICE
Atlanta check-in and boarding was organized but rushed. Dubai check-in fast and
organized, with efficient friendly staff.
CABIN APPEARANCE
Cabin appearance cramped! Seat back magazine and safety card in tatters - wouldn't touch
them. Seat looked worn. Tray table broken (one next to me too) - meal had to be balanced on my knees.
SEATING COMFORT
Seats were cramped, but this is Economy Class.
ONBOARD CATERING
$7.00 for a liquor miniature that I could buy for $2.50 retail is a rip-off! Meals inedible,
presented on tiny tray in thin throwaway containers. Salad and snack service was all I could
eat. On the return, meals marginally better than on outbound ATL-DXB sector. Pasta tasty.
Small sandwiches in galleys between services good. Breakfast good, but ran out of selections
halfway through the cabin.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Good movie and audio selections.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Cabin service simply going through the motions. Not a smile to be seen from this very senior
crew. Meals presented with nothing more than "chicken or pasta". Avoided eye contact when
went to rear galley for a snack or drink. Same standard of cabin service on return, for the
most part detached and unfriendly. One male attendant a wreck, actually worked the entire
flight in brown bedroom slippers.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Dubai airport was a delight with quick clearance and bags delivered in good time.
Return an early morning arrival in Atlanta a disaster - many flights crowding arrival
facilities. Additional TSA clearance connecting to onward flights a long timely process.
CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT
Wouldn't do again unless this was the only way to go. Thank heavens it isn't the only way.
