Air France Voyageur Economy Class Flight Review Dusseldorf to Paris CDG
DEPARTURE SERVICE
I use Air France as in my opinion you get the best connections even if CDG is not a so
friendly airport.
As Flying Blue Gold member, I made the check-in by the Affaires/Premium Voyageur check-in
counter at Dusseldorf Airport. Was already checked-in as Air France allows you to do it 36
hours before the flight but had to print the boarding pass at the counter and drop my
suitcases. Air France allows usually to Gold members 1 piece of luggage of 23 kgs plus one
free of the same weight. Staff is part of Aviapartner and not direct employees of Air France,
but friendly and polite.
Air France Lounge is on the Upper floor after the security check. It was clean, friendly staff
and nice choice of beverages (hot/cold and spirits) and some snacks (chips, cookies, etc).
French newspapers and french news TV channel. Great view from the apron. Boarding was fast,
French newspapers on a rack.
CABIN APPEARANCE
The cabin of the A319 was clean, bright but a little bit old-fashioned textile seats in blue
color. General state of the plane was good.
SEATING COMFORT
Air France has modified their comfort on the cabins on most European flights with 3 cabins -
Affaires / Premium Voyageur and Voyageur.
Premium Voyageur is really the same as Affaires (same seats but just 2 persons seated on 3
seat rows (middle seat left free). Seat comfort in Voyageur is okay - not the best.
ONBOARD CATERING
Air France has cut costs on the catering during meal time (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) and stopped
offering the usual 2 choice of sandwiches.
Now they offer only soft drinks (3 types of juice - apple, tomato, orange), sodas, red/white
wine, coffee, chocolate, and tea - with salted snacks or cookies. It was okay for a 50 minutes
flight.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Two magazines usually: Air France and Air France Madame. Interesting tips about nice
destinations and some useful information. Not extraordinary but okay.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Cabin crew was helpful and polite. In general they should improve their English but they can
communicate with non-french speaking passengers.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Disembarking was fast as we had a jetway. Terminal 2D is quite normal, a little bit old, sad
and grey. Luggage was delivered after 10-15 minutes.
CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT
I like Air France. The service had improved for Inter-European flights and crew is more
friendly and polite than before. For a 50 min flight, it was ok. Ticket was not expensive.
