DEPARTURE SERVICE

Was connecting from UAL domestic, so no interconnection agreement so had to recheck for seating, little bit of a hassle, but service was fine. SFO lounge is very nice with all the simple amenities.


CABIN APPEARANCE

Cabin was very clean, uniform.


SEATING COMFORT

As many have commented the seats not being able to lie flat is a negative, just very hard to get comfortable.


ONBOARD CATERING

Meals were simple yet filling. Liquor service was somewhat lacking, champagne was not really what I would consider a premium.


INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT

Very weak on western selection of movies and tv.


CABIN STAFF SERVICE

Efficient, friendly, smiled a lot. Very considerate of sleeping passengers, but toward the middle of the flight completely disappeared.


FLIGHT ARRIVAL

Transfer service is somewhat unexplained in Taipei, you have to go through another security check. Lounge in Taipei is very poor, very few bathrooms and shower facilities. Meal selections very minimal.


CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT

Overall decent service for the price. But not up to Singapore/Cathay standards.
