Air Canada Economy Class Flight Review Sydney to Vancouver
DEPARTURE SERVICE
Short line, was on my way to the plane in 10 minutes. Lady at check in recognised me from last
time and very friendly.
CABIN APPEARANCE
Air Canada has a nice ice blue theme with the B777 mood lighting its even better. Cabin and
seats clean on boarding. Some windows not cleaned. Bathrooms getting in a well used state by
the end of the flight.
SEATING COMFORT
Seats are OK in the slightly cramped 3x3x3 configuration. I have sat in rows 26, 28 and 18.
Row 18 is the best for leg room. I'm 6"3 and managed to tolerate the 14hr flight. Seats are
slightly narrow.
ONBOARD CATERING
Food is reasonable, tasty and plentiful. You get a hot lunch, large midflight snack (like a
cold lunch) and hot breakfast. Water seems to come around every 30 minutes. Plenty of drinks
available and little snacks given.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Plenty of movies, music and TV shows to keep me going for 14hr and the selection of movies is
quality. Screens are reasonable but could be bigger. Map sometimes works.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Efficient and friendly. They have started a few good conversations with me. Nothing seems to
much of a trouble, but I don't ask for much.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Baggage seems to be delivered in the standard times. On check in they are clear where they can
check to and where you will have to pick up if you are multi city.
CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT
I have flown Air Canada a few times now and I have found it to be pleasant. For the only
direct flight between Australia and Canada, for the prices paid, I have not complaints. I
suggest to use their online check in service to get good seats and speed up the process for you.
