V AUSTRALIA : PASSENGER FLIGHT REVIEW |

DEPARTURE SERVICE
Terminal 3 at LAX is good although limited seating and services past screening. Representative was great
in getting a seat change (airline pre-assigns and they can't move normally) when assigned seat was
unsuitable.
CABIN APPEARANCE
Excellent - new aircraft.
SEATING COMFORT
Very poor for sleeping and extremely uncomfortable.
ONBOARD CATERING
Good for economy but no variation offered to premium economy.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Excellent.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
The staff on this sector were quite good. They dealt well with delays out of their control - such as 1
hour delay for runway change at LAX and 45 minute wait for gate at Sydney. Were through the cabin all
night offering drinks etc.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Transfer area at SYD was a disaster. Queues a mile long and limited staff/counters open. People missing
connections - allow 4 hours! Can't just do a bag drop as domestic boarding pass has to be issued at SYD.
Assigned seats for domestic connection were duplicated with other people. Domestic connection ended up
being 74 overbooked.
CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT
Better than the outbound. However, premium economy is just economy service with a bit of legroom.
Knowing this when booking will avoid disappointment. Avoid all transfers at SYD.
