DEPARTURE

Bag drop very efficient now I've discovered the separate area for people who have checked in online. Security quick but boarding delayed slightly for no obvious reason. That said, we pushed back 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled departure time.


CABIN

Standard KLM cabin, sufficiently clean.


SEATING

The plane was one of the older B737-300s and did look slightly tatty. The seats were comfortable and the 31" pitch didn't bother me for such a short flight (but I had the half-row to myself).


CATERING

I always think that KLM portions are stingy but the quality is really high. I can recommend their white wine.


INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT

CABIN STAFF SERVICE

This was the most friendly KLM cabin crew I had encountered. They even moved some of the taller people to the front of economy where the leg room is slightly better. A pleasant surprise.


FLIGHT ARRIVAL

Was disappointed that there was no airbridge at Helsinki Vantaa and the bus was cramped (and we were delayed by the last two passengers taking photos of the cabin crew). That said, the journey was quick to the terminal and the baggage was there waiting for us. Good, quick bus service to Helsinki central station, provided by Finnair.


CUSTOMER VERDICT

Much better than other KLM flights I've been on recently!
