Thomson Airways Economy Class Flight Review London Gatwick to Sharm el Sheikh
DEPARTURE SERVICE
Check-in was quick and efficient. There were several check-in desks open and a member of staff was
on hand to direct the passengers to a desk. The whole process took no longer than 5/10 minutes
although we noticed that a slight queue was building up behind us.
CABIN APPEARANCE
The cabin was clean and well maintained. The leather seats were in good condition.
SEATING COMFORT
Due to a 2-4-2 seating plan on the Boeing 767, it was a little cramped although it did not majorly
affect my comfort, however I expect some larger passengers would have found it quite uncomfortable.
ONBOARD CATERING
We were given 1 hot meal on-board which was chicken in a tomato sauce, pasta salad, bread roll and cheesecake.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
The films which were due to be shown were Monsters vs Aliens followed by 17 Again - thankfully the
cabin crew couldn't find Monsters vs Aliens and we were instead only shown 17 Again. The film was
followed by a few shorter programmes such as the Simpsons, My Family, etc. There were also about 10
music channels you could listen to throughout the flight.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
The cabin crew were very efficient and polite which allowed us to have a pleasant flight. On the
return journey, the flight was delayed making it a night flight, therefore the cabin crew served the
meals out straightaway allowing the lights to be dimmed for more than half of the flight.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
We had to go down the steps off the plane where there were buses waiting to take up to the terminal.
Baggage delivery was quite quick.
CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT
A good flight, both on the outward and inward journeys.
