Emirates Economy Class Flight Review Brisbane to Dubai to Larnaca to Athens return
DEPARTURE SERVICE
Check in was very smooth. Check in staff friendly and informative.
CABIN APPEARANCE
3A40-500 with 2-4-2 configuration which suited my wife and I. Flight had originated in
Auckland and was clean when boarded. Same with connecting flight on A330-300
SEATING COMFORT
This is what lets Emirates down. Found seat was just a bit too high and with limited
leg room and no foot rest your feet were left dangling when seat was reclined. Dubai / Larnaca leg
was A330-300 and slightly more comfortable
ONBOARD CATERING
Reason why we fly Emirates is because of the standard of meals and as this was our first long haul
flight with them they didn't disappoint.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
The entertainment system was quite adequate.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Staff friendly and very helpful.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Arrival at Dubai and transfer to Larnaca flight and our return via Dubai from Athens was very
straightforward. Emirates had gate numbers and flight times displayed prior to flight landing on
inflight entertainment system for all flights out of Dubai.
CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT
Having flown on Emirates many times prior to this between Brisbane and Auckland we chose them for
this trip because of the quality of service. These flights were on 777 aircraft and seating was more
comfortable on that aircraft. However we liked the 2-4-2 configuration of the A340-500 and are
prepared to continue flying with them in the hope they will address the seating issue.
