AIRASIA X : FLIGHT REVIEW |

DEPARTURE
The LCCT at Kuala Lumpur was not very appealing. A far cry from the proper terminals in KLIA, but it
was sufficient for a low cost airline. Staff were quite helpful and always smiling. Had to walk about 500m from
terminal to aircraft.
CABIN
AirAsia X product is quite good for a low cost airline. There were a few stains on the
luggage compartments. The look of the cabin is very "modern".
SEATING
Seat is comfortable enough. Limited recline, better than no recline.
CATERING
Food looked like a bowl of rice and curry chucked together. It tasted Ok. The food had to be ordered
online or you have to pay more onboard, and you have no choice of food.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
The free features are very good for a low cost airline. The PTV is touch screen. Most features were pay, but I
wouldn't pay R18 (about AUD$7) for a 5 hour flight.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
The cabin crew carried out their jobs: welcome, serve meals, help passengers and then deplane. They
hardly walked down the aisles, but it was sufficient.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Deplaning was fast and easy, but then came the world-renowned Perth Airport Quarantine. It took us 3
hours just to leave the terminal, and the staff were very unhelpful.
CUSTOMER VERDICT
I would advice AirAsia X to budget travellers, as it is very advanced for a low
cost airline. It is very
innovative and cheap, but I still prefer traditional/legacy carriers.
