DEPARTURE SERVICE
No issues at check in, small line, happy staff for a 2.12am departure time.
CABIN APPEARANCE
Absolutely spotless. New B737 800. Really like the white with the blue carport and seats. Cannot
fault the condition at all.
SEATING COMFORT
Supportive seating, but not that crash hot when the seat reclined in front. Could do with a little
more pitch. For a 6hr flight the 737 not my plane of choice.
ONBOARD CATERING
Meals were of a high quality. Food was simply yet tasty, biscuits and drink service was great.
Offered two choices for breakfast, either french toast or omelette which is rare.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Played 3 movies on the screens.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Efficient. The service staff were very strict on boarding and safety. Only had limited English so
was difficult for an Australian at times. Red eye flights hard to get a cheerful group but perhaps
they could smile a little more.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
No major hassles at PTY but the system very similar to Australia. Staff did not make it totally
clear on the procedures but language barrier had something to do with this.
CUSTOMER TRIP VERDICT
Copa Airlines is a 3 star airline in my opinion. The beauty of this airline is that with a modern
well kept fleet there is only improvement ahead. This could come from having perhaps some twin
aisled planes in the future, and looking at ways to improve the warmth of their service staff. Very
happy with the service for the price paid.
