DEPARTURE
Arrived to Gatwick 2 hours before departure to find out that my flight to Charlotte is delayed over 2
hours due to late departure from USA. Long waiting in to envoy class check-in, staff friendly but
not very professional, had to remind about fast track sticker and priority luggage tag.
CABIN
Clean and bright cabin of A 330 but quite outdated comparing to other business class cabins of other
star alliance members.

SEATING
Seat quite comfortable but you could see its age.
CATERING
My menu had only front cover and no pages with actual food/ wine inserted. Was trying to get prawn
salad but when the flight attendant arrived to me this (and other 2 options) were not available
anymore. Got an omelette which was ok but lacked taste and texture.
INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Very small screen with mediocre selection of movies and programs, was trying to find a route map and some games but without any results. Cabin
crew had to reset a system during the flight as it was constantly freezing in Y class.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Staff friendly enough but without special enthusiasm, my accent was making them quite unsure of what
I would like to drink (they never heard of still water, either you have water or sparkling water but
still water?) or eat.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Short waiting thru emigration, my bags arrived before me (hence priority tag? or the size of an
airport?)
CUSTOMER VERDICT
Overall, not bad but don't really know why US airways is a member of star alliance as frankly they
can't compare themselves to true stars like SQ, TG, or NZ
