DEPARTURE
Were informed online that we could check in the night before, but after arriving at Gatwick found
that if you are going to Canada you can only check in on the day, so wasted a lot of time.
CABIN
Reasonable.
SEATING
Quite cramped, only a few tv's scattered along the cabin, not seat-back.
CATERING
Reasonable.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
On the return journey my two children, who are seasoned travellers and have never been ill before,
both became airsick at the same time. I was on my own with them in the centre three seats, and my
husband couldn't see what was going on because he was across the aisle and obscured by the trolley.
There was a FA right next to me serving drinks and I asked him for some more sick bags. He waved
his hand in the direction of the toilets, told me they were down there, and carried on serving
drinks!! Fortunately the lady opposite gave me hers. My husband and I had to clean up the children,
the seats and the floor alone. We eventually persuaded a very huffy attendant to get my son a
blanket as he couldn't wear his trousers and were offered a packet of coffee to sprinkle on the
floor in case there was a smell! I know it's not pleasant, but surely it is expected that people -
not by choice - are going to be ill and that they should be prepared to help all they can at a
stressful time like this, not ignore it's happening.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Reasonable.
CUSTOMER VERDICT
We would not travel with Air Transat again. They were so unhelpful.
