DEPARTURE
Clean, modern facility. Had lunch in a delightful wine bar with excellent choice of local wines and
tasty snacks. Southwest makes check-in easy with electronic boarding pass 24 hours before the
flight. Security OK this time, but can be very unpredictable at SEA.
CABIN
Remarkably clean considering inbound flight arrived only 15 minutes before we boarded.
SEATING
Average to slightly above average. Seat pitch is about 33 ins compared with 31 ins on many other
airlines. Just enough room for me to use my laptop which is not possible for me at a smaller pitch.
CATERING
None expected or offered, except for peanuts - but you know that in advance.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Positive, friendly and efficient. They seem to enjoy their job more than the attendants on most
other carriers.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Flight was 15 minutes early, baggage delivered within 10 minutes. Wish all my flights were that way.
CUSTOMER VERDICT
In my opinion Southwest is by far the best domestic US carrier and demonstrates that low cost does
not have to mean excessive queues, chronic delays and lost baggage.
