DEPARTURE
Having checked in online, I went to drop off my bags, in front of me a 4 person family, it seemed
that Ground Staff were not able to handle oversized luggage at all, pretty poor start!
CABIN
The first flight, due to fluke I spent on the jumpseat in the flightdeck, the cabin however looked
in a decent shape, which made my mood lift slightly again. From Paris, it was just what it should
be, one felt well even for 8 hours.
SEATING
Standard configuration on the DUS-CDG leg, a 2-3-2 configuration on the long haul bit, seems decent
for this kind of flight.
CATERING
I was positively surprised to even receive a breakfast on the way to Paris, that certainly upped the
rating, as for the long-haul, meals were decent although it was "chicken or chicken?"
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Staff were really trying to make everyone comfy, announcements were pleasant, in at least two
languages and understandable English and generally extra wishes were acommodated wherever it was
feasible.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
On both the changeover and final destination, this was pretty poor show, no Air France staff were
there, I had to negotiate my way through De Gaulle single-handed, I probably am one of few to make
it and not get lost!
CUSTOMER VERDICT
Apart from the start and the ridiculously bad help in De Gaulle, it was a decent show, and it does
encourage to take Air France again
